I also saw you got 8.3% under invoice from what I assume is the same dealer. I have friends in DC, and may be pinging you for a referral to see if I can get the same deal. Dealers in the Denver area are sick with customers, and feel zero reason to capitulate on anything since, from their...
Possibly quick exit strategy:
Depending on the specifics of the aerodynamics of the JT cab/bed, you may find that if you have the rear window open, that will dump anything from the bed right into the back seat. Park under a shedding tree for a few hours, then get on the highway with just the...
This is precisely the thing that came to my mind. I have a '51 Ford F1 bed trailer, and it's light in the tongue while also being fairly symmetrical about the axle. I have to do some work on the frame, and will be addressing it when I get some bandwidth, but knowing that the JT fender flares go...
Topper dealers have a LOT of leeway with their pricing. Typically there isn't a ton of competition, and they're not easy to ship. Call around, and you'll easily find a grand between your top and bottom prices. The last topper I bought ended up being several hundred different between salesmen at...
Photo from the Texas Auto Show:
Looks like a sticker pack in Sarge.... Tires are different than what I think is standard, but only make/model.
There may be more, but I have a sub-third world internet connection, and a page of photos loads a line of pixels at a time... I'll post more if I find...
That it's a constant speed regardless of vehicle speed rules out anything related to the drivetrain. Any and all parts would change with speed.
Think of other things that spin independently: AC fan, engine fan, sometimes speakers will make weird noises they shouldn't electronically...
Anyone in the Dallas area want to head downtown and clue us in on what's going on down there? Stellantis hasn't updated their virtual auto show page, and neither has Texas. It's officially open to the public as of this morning.
I did it on a 4Runner several years ago. Don't have a JT yet, and won't have a diesel. Still, very easy even with very rudimentary fiberglass skills. If you want to get elaborate with it (which I did with the 4Runner), carve up a wooden buck, and put some curvature into the exp. steel. Makes it...
Here's a real cheap one that can have a real benefit, especially for the diesels. Cut the slots out of the grille, fiberglass it to a nice smooth line, put some expanded steel behind it, and open your air flow up for better cooling.
I sure hope there's something good like that when I can finally pull the trigger!
I'll be watching here for when you bring it home, then I'll be looking for you around town!
