  1. Flat towing JTR with 37" tires

2.5" in the front, .75" in the rear. I have a small riser on the back of the motorhome. All depends on the combination. For example, a Fleetwood Bounder's 2" hitch is about 4-6" higher than mine.
  2. JTR with 37s and spacer lift?

I previously had Teraflex 1.5" front, Daystar .75" rear and 35's. I went to 37's and bumped the front to an RC 2.5" spacer lift with Mopar lift control arms. Not sure I needed to, I just did. Plenty of clearance up front, but it doesn't look like it would take much to rip out the rear fender...
  3. 37s or 35s?

    Yes. From Tiresize.com 37x12.5x17 BFG KO2: 36.5" diameter Mastercraft Courser MXT: 36.69"
  4. One Year Later......

Budget mods. RC2.5 front, Daystar .75 rear. 37's on Q-Tech wheels. 6/20 to present. Been this way for over a year. No problems.
  5. Flat towing JTR with 37" tires

Winterizing the RV at the end of the month. It has been a great summer. No weird or excessive tire wear from flat towing. No cross country trips, but many many trips to the mountains and down to the Oregon Coast. We can't wait for next year.
  6. Flat Towing Newbie Help!

We have flat towed our Gladiator 2 camping seasons behind a V10 powered class A without any problems. We have also flat towed 2 other previous Wranglers. We started our flat towing adventures years ago with a 2006 E450 that looks very much like yours. Supplemental braking is a must, IMO. I also...
  7. What’s your mpg with bigger tires??

2020 JTR 4.10 gears 37x12.5x17 2.5" lift Speedo/tire size corrected with Tazer mini 16mpg average. 50/50 in town/hiway Better than my previous 2 Jeeps: 04 TJ and 16 JK.
  8. Tow, or be towed?

This weekend was be towed x 2.
  9. 2.5” leveling kit and 37s done!

No issues. No extreme wheeling, just mild trails. Lots of miles pulled behind the motorhome.
  10. 2.5” leveling kit and 37s done!

If you are asking me... no, not factory wheels. They just look similar. 17x9 Quadratec Rubicon Extreme wheels. I had 35's on the stock wheels and they rubbed the control arms.
  11. Late to the game

To add to your list: Auxiliary switch package. So convenient. One of my favorite options.
  12. Oh geez, not another tire thread....

I think clearance between your front tires and fenders would be pretty tight with 35's. Performance would definitely take a hit with 3.73 gears. My buddy's hydro blue Max Tow has 35's. We put on a Teraflex 1.5" level kit to get a little more clearance for the bigger tires up front.
  13. 37” spare tire - list of tires that fit under the bed

Fitting between the track bar and receiver hitch is one thing, fitting between the frame rails is another. My 37" Mastercraft MXT fit between the track bar and hitch, but hangs very low because it will not fit between the frame rails. I remove it and throw it in the bed when off road. I am...
  14. I know I’m going to catch grief for this question. Why go larger wheels and tires

Either I need the extra ground clearance off road, or I am over-compensating for something. I haven't figured it out yet.
  15. Your favorite cant live without mod

For me #1 has to be the flat tow set up for towing the Jeep behind the motorhome. Of all the things I have done/added over the last year, none of them would of mattered if the Jeep had to stay home while we were travelling. Maximus-3 tow loops, Blue Ox Avail 10,000# tow bar, Cooltech light...
  16. My jeep smells like cheap hookers and beer, please send help!!

At least I know what beer smells like! I had a vehicle detailed in and out once. It wasn't a Jeep. The dumbasses soaked the whole interior. It took forever to dry out and never did smell right after that. Maybe it was just the company I hired. But after that, interior cleaning was all me on...
  17. Black is played out, let's see some colored rims

Simple, light, inexpensive, painted not polished, and easy to clean. I'm to old to be cleaning mud and dirt out of fancy wheels these days.
  18. We are driving around the world in our Jeep Gladiator we call DAUNTLESS

Yes! Welcome and be safe. Please post adventure updates and pictures.
  19. Tow, or be towed?

That is the question. Or haul? Questions like these are why I love owning a Gladiator. Today, I choose Tow.
