Mine has gotten easier, especially after this past winter. Lots of shifting in and out of 4hi.
As far as 4lo, decades of owning a TJ, and then a JK, all with the same process. For those new Jeeps, It will become a natural thing finding little hump or dip as you start at a trail head. Easy to...
Scared the $hit out of me the first time I backed into the garage. On previous Jeeps I would open the door and look back at a spot on the floor to hit with the back tire.
I have had to re-train myself to back in using a cat ball toy hanging from the garage ceiling. When it hits the back window...
I only got the fronts for now. Will decide on rears later. I got the XL (wide) regular (not long). I was worried about the long ones getting torn off on the trails. I only have two pics. They are black with black logo so hard to see unless you zoom in.
Rokblokz arrived and installed.
Addictions come in all forms. This weeks "Buy" button items:
Tazer mini extension cable. Genie garage door opener replacement wall console!
If you have had a TJ with the Dana 35 C-clip rear axle, and made it survive with 35's, you may be able to get away with 40's without an upgrade. Probably not.
I swapped my D35 out anyway, even though it never broke. Sticking with 37's on the Gladiator.
It does suck. I don't know why they made them different. Mine came with a plastic bumper with leds. The Arcus bumper works with those, but not steel bumper leds. One of the reasons I stopped trying to find a steel winch bumper. That, and I would have had to buy a winch plate anyway.
One more...
Front Rokblokz XL installed. Ordered after filling my door handles up with mud last Saturday. Arrived yesterday. 15 minute install. These should help. Black on black, almost invisible! Maybe some rear flaps later.
I also have the RC 2.5" kit without shocks. I swapped out a Teraflex 1.5 because the nose dropped a little after a winch and bumper. I have Daystar 3/4" spacers in the rear.
I feel it would be nose high if I didn't have the winch in the front and the spacers in the rear.
I have had it off road a...
Same as previous Jeeps, same as a lot of others, and easily transferred from one Jeep to another.

I wanted the steel when I first started looking. I liked the look, option to turn it into a stubby, and winch capable. When I found out later, that I would have to purchase a winch plate, I was was no longer set on finding a Rubicon with a steel bumper. I found one I wanted with a plastic...
So far so good. I don't have many miles on them. I bought them due to their light weight. I wanted the Nitto RG, but couldn't get over how heavy they are. Had them off road only once on melting snow on top of mud. I was happy with how they performed. Slung mud everywhere. Mud flaps arriving today!
I've done both. If you are going to run them out, keep them clean! A little Bleach White and a quick scrub with a tire brush does wonders.
Solid white letters are easier to keep clean and look better than outlined white letters, IMO: BFG, Some Coopers, etc.
I ran the white Flintstone style...
