As title already said, do you think there is anything the refresh of the Colorado does that makes Jeep do anything to the Gladiator?
Interior refresh was waaay overdue in the Colorado, and aside from the obvious lack of Uconnect 5 and wireless CarPlay, I think the interior of the Gladiator is...
When I had my F150 there were a few recurring issues and a couple one offs (plus TSBs) that I was in service for under warranty for a fair number of periods (good reason not to get a first model year of a major refresh). Now when I had purchased I rolled in what I think it was called 'premium...
I think the forum consensus (for whatever that is worth) is that the mop@r in$iders article's credibility is highly questionable. Many of us are hoping that anyway, and this is somewhat supported by the fact that the details provided by them are very odd...
I think we are talking past each other without necessarily disagreeing. Particularly on the stupid tax break...
Party trick comment of mine stands, as in the 4xe wrangler anyway, it only puts out 134 horsepower / 181 pound-foot in pure electric mode. Not enough to be worth it. If that was...
Yep. Expectation is that there will be a bit of a lag time for the Gladiator to get any extra clarity, probably another couple weeks. The wrangler is one month ahead based on order opening date to when Jeep released the actual model year overview press release and the Freedom package still isn't...
i.e. - for the consumer, regular hybrids do not qualify for the $7,500 credit, but plug-ins do... and for the manufacturer plug-ins get them better CAFE numbers (based on theoretical numbers assuming the consumer is plugging in and using the pure electric mode all the time). The all electric...
I agree that hybrids can be attractive. However, plug-in hybrids are stupid. They are a compliance car, and yes you do need to plug it in regularly to get the full benefit out of the powertrain - otherwise you are carrying around a bunch of unneeded/unused extra weight.
For instance the...
Disagree on the Rav 4 prime. Power train is the same as the 4xe and totally geared towards getting that $7500 credit. Stupid, and pointless in real world.
Roll out a āsuper chargedā Prius powertain for the rest of us. Tacomas, highlanders, Camrys, whateverā¦. O, but we need pretend that we...
I agree, but am perhaps biased. Currently, have a regular cab short bed full sized for truck duties, but it is not worth it. Looking to consolidate from a daily driver and farm beater to a single workable everyday truck. Not being a single bachelor greatly nullifies the fantasy that one does...
Ya. Ya. Ya. There is credence to both āagendasā.
EVs would be great if adopted en masse (everyoneās cars themselves could essentially be batteries to help support the grid during peak loads). But in the time being,
unless we roll out a bunch of new nuclear plants, whatever.
No need to go on a...
The Freedom package (and built to serve on the ram) all follow the same formula. A nicely optioned āmid-tierā trim with some more off roadish goodies and a leather trimmed premium cloth seat. They have to call it something, so they give the nod to those who serve in some capacity and call it a...
This has been addressed in this thread, and at nauseaum over on the JL forum correlating thread. Clearly some minimum wage (or less) intern did a shitty photoshop rendering at their bossās orders to make the press release in time for the 4th. Yep, the flag will be (and always has been in these...
The shade on the grey offerings is quite played out. Waaa waaa waaa.
Last I checked Jeep has a very light silver, a very dark metallic grey, and a medium primer-coatish grey. All three very different shades, and they have anywhere from 5 to 7 other offerings as a time. And now, god forbid...
Like Rusty and Playfulbird said - power is the same (so its not an engine torque limitation on Selec-trac itself), which is why I am confused why Europe gets the full time 4wd as standard, but America is left without the option.
Somehow I stumbled across the Euro spec Gladiator and man is it a weird but pretty cool package. Looks like it is an Overland, but comes with the Mojave hood. O ya, and its only offered in the the EcoDiesel engine, but comes with Selec-Trac.
Honestly, one of the reasons I am not currently...
Thanks Vagabond. I know for the Rubi/Mojave/Overland - they get the Mopar Satin Black Grill with the body color surround when optioning, or you can just order in the middle grill section (you would already have the body color moldings).
For the Sport S though in particular, it is very...
Thank you, helpful.
On on this topic, it would seem that if you get a Sport S and want the body color matched trim pieces, you would really need to order it that way from the factory. I had debated not adding the black grill on the build sheet, but just ordering the part later (so I could swap...
Soon certainly not a gear expert, and only recently realized these even existed - but to further muddy the waters, what about 4.63?

To narrow down my question - that is what I was trying to figure out - i.e. if you order the Satin Black grille on a Sport S, do you get the 3 piece grill (black interior with body color matched trim like the Rubi and Mojave), or would it look like the Willys with the trim being black as well.
