So when I did Dickey Bell I was on 315/70/17 tires and Rubicon suspension with no lift. Because I didn't have any lift I elected to run the tires at street pressure to keep the belly as high as possible. It was dry and traction wasn't an issue. Always in 4L unless you're on a dirt road or sand...
So I bought a cheap set of Chinese pod projectors with halos to use as off road lights mounted on the A pillar (maybe). I have a question though. The lights came without any wiring instructions of course and it has an extra wire labeled USB. There is a + wire for the projectors, a + wire for the...
The "extra stuff" you're referring to stays plugged into the truck. You never have to remove it, ever. I bought them because they were inexpensive and hassle free. You'll never know they are there.
I am not trying to get anyone to do anything different than what they already do. If you need the...
I'm curious why you think this? The Rubicon doesn't weigh any more than the other models above the axles does it? I'm pretty sure all the extra weight of the Rubi is unsprung.
So you want a warning you're not wearing your belt but you don't want the truck to stop if you don't have it on backing up with the door open? C'mon man.
Initially I thought that too but I am now convinced it's just a combination of the ESC, TC and BLD doing what it's supposed to do. I don't like it but I don't know of anyway to defeat it without cutting into the harness. I don't want to be bouncing it off of the rev limiter but it would be nice...
Well both your truck and the black one are what they should have been from FCA. A 4' bed ain't hurting my feelings at all. Nicely done. If you get the urge to do another one and need a donor, I know a guy.
Not really. A JL doesn't have the tow capacity of the JT. I also use the bed but being 6" shorter wouldn't really matter either. It's not like I bought it to work out of. If I needed a full size bed I wouldn't have bought a Gladiator in the first place.
I like it. I do have one suggestion though. Perhaps use plastic dowels instead of the wooden ones as the wooden dowels tend to absorb moisture and warp over time. Excellent job Sir.
This solves the problem. I never unbuckle it from the truck. I bought these when I had my Ram because it was the same way, the wife's Durango too. I'll never get rid of them.
It's all about money, we all know that. Some people just like to try and disguise it. "Keeping the riffraff out" is bullshit. Anyone can save money and anyone's Jeep can break. New shit breaks all the time. The guy that said that was just an uppity prick. The Jamboree here in NC is held at...
Fair enough but I wasn't putting down anyone's activities. Like I said, to each their own.
This statement proves the one below it.
Take the JEEP name out of it and the price is less then half of that.
Nothing about $600-$1000 to ride trails makes sense. I don't care what the menu looks like or who's cooking it.
I'm with you. $1000 will put you in a nice hotel for the weekend, buy your trail pass for the place of your choice, put gas in the tank and food in your belly with money left over. If...
