Well I won't be cutting any wires for now, probably should wait on the warranty to expire for that one. However, the whole system is definitely built for people that can't/have never driven off road. There should be a clear notice that TC and ESC are not truly "off". I just want my truck/Jeep to...
When I go to 4L the computer automatically turns off the ESC and the TC and gives you visual confirmation in the cluster screen. I tried holding the button in but it did nothing extra.
I was able to somewhat recreate the issue on Saturday. It most definitely IS the TC kicking in and controlling wheel spin by reducing engine power. My assumption is that the system does this to allow the BLD a chance to take over since it is only active in 4wd.
Feathering the fuel will put the...
Me and two other guys rode yesterday. The big group had 11 in it. The trails weren't really as busy as I thought they would be. I got the JT's roll gauge to the highest angle so far. 34* feels like your laying on the doors.
Of course the videos are on the YouTube channel.
Parts of Gulches is doable but you really need a lift. I did it in my Sport S but I was running Rubi springs and 35s. I still drug a lot. Pick good lines and go slow.
I just did Windrock on Black Friday. I plan on doing Peters MIll over the winter and hopefully Beasley's knob next spring/summer. Too bad you didn't get a chance to do Dickey Bell at Uwharrie or Beasley's knob while you were close.
There'll be quite a few people at Uwharrie this weekend I would imagine with only one week left after this one. The group I will be meeting up with ranges from 3 or 4 to 10 or 12. If it's a really big group I will ride on my own or with a smaller bunch. Most likely I will be the only JT in the...
Yep, no button for TC. The problem with that is that when you go into 4L the computer turns off the ESC and the TC. It comes up on the dash and lets you know. It literally reads "Traction Controls system is Off" right on the dash cluster. The BLD is still active but the BLD alone should not cut...
This is partially true. BLD works with the TC but also will work with the TC off. At least that's the way it's explained everywhere I can find info on it. It should NOT be killing the engine power but instead transferring that power to the wheels with traction while also applying brake to the...
Awesome. Mine is not a Rubicon so no Off Road+ for me.
It is good to know however that the BLD is there. I'm unfamiliar with it so I'm unsure if that was what I was experiencing but from what I've read it's not. Still though, I'm unsure. My understanding of it is that if I apply steady even...
Yeah me too. I was researching the BLD feature Jeep has but I'm not sure if my JT has it or exactly how it works. It was very frustrating though when my spotter kept saying "Man you almost had it until you let off of it." and I kept telling him I hadn't. The damn thing just did it by itself. Not...
