Yea, some of the things I am seeing I am debating about getting a better cooler and just buying ice. But nice to not have to need ice and could use it for groceries. Will see if anyone else have any good ideas.
Did some searching, and saw some issues with temp in the bed under the cover. I will need to either add the AC plug (Have a Mojave with factory inverter) or run a line for DC. So want to plan what I will get, and what I need. Preferably not wanting to spend too much as we won't use it much...
I usually do the seafoam in the gas as it helps clean the valves. Being port injected the injectors shoot gas over the valve. The seafoam adds a bit to the cleaning.
Throttle body you can just take off and clean fairly easy.
Turns out the threads were worse than the ones I used for the bed cover. I had to clear them at first with my tap then use a hex head bolt to finish clearing them out.
Now I am onto the other nightmare, the nutserts. Driver side got it in but the bolt broke off I used to install it and had...
Likely changing after I get back, I changed my oil at about 800 miles to get some break in wear metal out just to be safe. Even got an oil analysis done as well which came back good as you would expect. Wanted to start a baseline is all. Debating on using my wave so I can get the tires...
We are running from Washinton to North Dakota in a few weeks ourselves, and doing it in the Mojave. Did you do any headliner or Armorlite? I did the Killz mat and headerline and armor lite. Waiting to see how it works for a long trip. I only have 2200 miles on mine so far.
I do, and had to deal with it to install my Bak Revolver bed cover. I can thread the 6mm tap into the hole but not the bolt that came with it. Will run down to McLendon tomorrow or Saturday and get some 6mm*1 @ 30mm and that should work.
Thanks, tried to search and could not find it. The threads on the bolts are for sure not M6 * 1, I have a tap/die set including that size and the tap does not fit.
Bought a kit and the bolts do not seem to fit. Seems to be about 5mmand before I go get some good replacements I would like to see if anyone knows the exact size.
There is a brand truxseal but I used this from Amazon. Hard part is top around the sides to get a better seal. I will get back on it when the rainy season returns.
I know this feeling. Changed the rear shocks on my wife's Tuscon and noticed a nut missing from the sway bar. Had to order one and get it there early so she could go to work. Luckily the bolt did not make it all the way out.
Good luck
Not sure I like things like this that poison them. You could kill other animals that eat them.
I used this the downside is one at a time. You have to monitor it and clean the dead mouse often. Why I suggested the bucket trap.
