Thread and pitch for bed rail mounts

Bought a kit and the bolts do not seem to fit. Seems to be about 5mmand before I go get some good replacements I would like to see if anyone knows the exact size.

Thanks, tried to search and could not find it. The threads on the bolts are for sure not M6 * 1, I have a tap/die set including that size and the tap does not fit.

Do you have a spray-in bedliner? Is so, you will likely need to clear some of it from the entrance edge of the holes. I found it to be tedious work just to get a tap started on the holes. The holes are definitely 6mm x 1.0.

I do, and had to deal with it to install my Bak Revolver bed cover. I can thread the 6mm tap into the hole but not the bolt that came with it. Will run down to McLendon tomorrow or Saturday and get some 6mm*1 @ 30mm and that should work.

Turns out the threads were worse than the ones I used for the bed cover. I had to clear them at first with my tap then use a hex head bolt to finish clearing them out.

Now I am onto the other nightmare, the nutserts. Driver side got it in but the bolt broke off I used to install it and had to drill it out. Passenger side It is ALMOST set. I plan to try again tomorrow.

I have a 23 Mojave with a spray in bed liner. I used a 6mm drill/tap to clean out the bed rail mounting holes. It worked great without any problems. The drill/tap was purchased from Amazon.
When I say drill/tap it’s one piece that starts with drill bit and then the tap threads. Worked great.
