Mine appears to leak both at the top and bottom. I tried the EPDM weatherstrip but it didn't help. Need to get it to the dealer, but without rain forecast for the next 5 months, it's not a high priority.
I have the stubby and can hear KNX1070 just fine. My local AM station that I can see the antenna on the mountain from my house? Nope, can't hear it. KNX1070 must go to eleven...
Only anecdotal. I have this on my Glad. My workplace has been hit hard by rodents. We work 24-hour shifts, and cars are getting attacked overnight. Since I put this in my jeep hasn't been touched, while cars parked next to me have. So yeah, I'm a believer...
Unloaded the bed after a week-long camping trip and found my front tie-down has walked itself halfway out. That was a surprise, after having gear tied to it all week.
This should go in the "with your jeep", I guess. Drove my Gladiator to my brother's house to install a Cascadia 4x4 solar panel setup on his JK. He liked the one on my JT so much he had to get his own. When it came time to weight down the edges we looked around for small but chunky weights...
I was going to originally post, "Ha Ha, Honey, nice try! I know when you are trolling my posts to see what I actually paid versus what I told you."
But now, after reading what some of you have done, I realize how fortunate I am to have lucked in to some free upgrades. And how much more some...
Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Wow, here it is. This is the original thread I used to make my headliners, but I could not find it.
I just used 1" thick rigid insulation, it is what I had on hand. No reflectix. So far I am very happy, and the tape is holding fine from 34 degrees to 90+.
I am over 50 years old, I don't feel the need to mash the fast pedal much these days. Having said that, "OMG, OMG, SQUEEE!!! Where the hell is that canyon?"
I thought I had posted here, guess not. I'm just not as awesome an offroad driver as 21RG. Guess my "day job" interferes. After a short trek through a very rocky streambed, I looked under the Jeep to see where the scrapes were. My diffs needed help. I put the Rancho "gliders" on until I...
Don't know. But I did mount a Rubicon skid on my sport S. There are metal "horns" that attach to the down-members of the frame. I got those with my skid plate. There are special hexagonal nutserts and bolts that attach the horns to the frame. I had to order those through a vendor, the Jeep...
I put a rubicon metal skid on my S. Like Jax said, you really should get the official hex nutserts. I went to my friendly local Jeep dealer and the parts guy told me you could not order them separate, you had to order an entire Rubicon steel bumper. So I went to Quadratec and ordered the...
I got the idea from a full thread somewhere on this site. But basically:
-made a cardboard template of each side
-cut the pieces from leftover 1" hard insulation board I had laying around
-cut the t-shirts bigger than the insulation
-used spray-glue to attach the visible side
-stapled...
