I asked this earlier because 2 separate groups have been arrested in the past month in my small town. The consensus then was that the double cats on the gladiator are hard to reach. I'm still looking at options.
Finally installed the free metal skid plate. Local Jeep parts dept told me I couldn't get the hex-shaped rivnuts, that I'd have to buy the entire front bumper assembly. Thankfully, Quadratec had them in stock. Made some tabs to tie the plate into my EAG bumper.
I got the idea from somewhere else on this forum, somebody did it first. I measured out a template using cardboard. I cut the liners out of scraps of 1" rigid foam. Use spray glue to attach the visible part of the t-shirt, then trimmed the back and used staples / glue to hold that on. Then...
Made my own headliners. Other than the roll of 3M mounting tape, everything was scraps for the trash. Sure, they're not as good as the professional ones, but they'll do.
I have the KB voodoo bars and they are extremely easy to take off and put on. I have a basket attached to the bars. I undo 4 quick bolts and it lifts off. I usually recruit a friend to help move the thing, because I am vertically challenged.
So back when I had my Commander, I got the wife to agree to better skids underneath by showing her articles about catalytic converter thefts. Now I have a Gladiator, and the top story in her news feed last night was a gang that hit our local town and made off with a bunch of them. Music to my...
That was a concern of mine until the actual install. There were plenty of bolts still attached so the cover never moved. No leaks then, and I checked daily for a week until I quit worrying.
I put them on here: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/rancho-differential-guards.38979/
I didn't want the red at first, but now looking at these pictures all the other armor I put down there is going to be red too. Great idea!
No special advice. Yes the RC feeds off the battery, which is what I wanted. You DO have to remember to shut things off, although it does have low-voltage cutoff. I haven't tested that yet. The only problem with the install was the final fitment of the panel to the dash. Had one corner that...
I'm very happy with the RC kit. Have added and removed circuits as needed (lighted wreath for Christmas...). Just please don't laugh at my labeling, it was dark...
