I have had three oil changes since the first post. My interval is between 3 and 4K. I think only time will tell and recently even though I have though about 5w30... I decided to stick with the factory spec and change it as mention above with with the exception of doing an oil change after every...
Are you running stock 4:10s if so based on your stated driving style the K02's are a solid choice.
I am currently running 35" K02 and have wheeled them in AZ, Utah, and Colorado and had ZERO issues.
As for freeway I hit 8th all the time unless there is a headwind then 7th or in really bad...
Late to the party but upgraded axel shafts (RVCs up front), Dana Spicer 4.88s, @Metalcloak Baller joints and carbon rear axel shaft. Also a fun mod a Magnaflow Rock Crawler exhaust.
The club runs are great for meeting folks. I will be meeting several folks from last year to run trails. If interested in joining in ping me in the new year.
Are you planning on doing any of the official trail runs then have your list together and sign up when it opens they can fill up fast. There are also runs that they teach skills on as well. If you are not camping book early.
Quick update to my previous reply. The trail I ran yesterday Telegraph Line had a section with twists and turns a few bumps so I pushed the speed in 4H and then on the way off the trail on a washboard road with ruts and dips and I am happy to report the shocks were fantastic. Smooth and in control.
Due to the government shutdown I ended up driving from Ca to AZ and was surprised to see the ave mpg at 18.5 with the full @Metalcloak undecloak, front and rear bumpers plus winch on 35 K02s. I will have to check today since I ran trails yesterday.
It typically only happens on the trail going of a rock obstacle. I have tried standing on the bumper and shake the rear up and down and can't reproduce the squeak with has a metallic quality. It happen on a really tall speed bump today. Any ideas?
Thanks brother! I have a quote for you. “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.”
My challenge is the mpounting holes are on the inside of where the stinget attaches. So I need a bracket that rises up and then goes toward the outside edge.
I am considering thr same option. Need to find a bracket that works with the pre-drilled holes. I have a stinger and prefer to mount it to the bumper if I can find a mount.
Did you do the hill? When I rolled up solo it looked like a big challenge. Once you see someone else do it and know a good line it was easy with a JT. I liked it so much I did the hill twice.
If you do and you are drive done the initial part of the trail and you come to. T intersection you missed the left hand turn a ways back. I did this trail late in the day and just at the end was treated to a beautiful sunset!
