Bumping this thread to see if anyone is running the rear bumper/tire carrier combo. Really interested in this product. Affording it however is another thing all together. Anyone have any bullet-proof plans for bank robbery?
Agree with what many others have said; it will never be perfect as it is a live front axle vehicle, but we aren't shooting for perfect here with these vehicles. On a stock vehicle start with the basics before you spend money:
1. Get an alignment and keep the printout of the before and after...
I have to say it, I don't care if the automatic transmission in the JT gives me a reach around and cooks me breakfast, it is a 100% soulless machine that is dumbing down the human race. You'll be regretting those clean, crisp automatic shifts when you're scrubbing toilets for your AI overlord...
I don't know why people say the manual is crap. The transmission itself is really nice and a joy to drive. The clutch has had issues, not the transmission.
Get an alignment. Have them give you slight toe in, make sure the thrust angles are in the green.
After that geometry correction brackets help a lot with driveability (front track bar relocation, rear track bar relocation [really helps with the rolly feeling], rear control arm relocation...
So assuming that a well designed aftermarket clutch slips less than the stock clutch is prone to, the ECU shouldnāt throw up any warnings. Sound about right?
The higher clamp force of an aftermarket clutch should resolve slippage at highway speeds where the failures seem to be occurring. My...
My JT has 32,000 miles on it. I bought it used and have only put about 600 miles on it. One of those miles threw a Clutch Overheat message. My concern is that the warning and limp mode protection will still persist after the original clutch is replaced. The ECU has no idea that a different...
@ACTman and the other contributors in this thread and the numerous other clutch threads: First off thanks for all the time and information, it is really appreciated. Sorry if this will be a longish post but please read.
My quick backstory: Iāve been a JL MT owner for six years, no issues very...
Yes my rear is currently on taller springs as a camper is being installed and I didnāt want it to squat. Would be really great if it resolved itself once itās closer to level.
Thanks for that. I had no idea. After thinking about it for a while I suppose it makes sense. Even though itās a common issue Iām sure Iāll get the typical dealer BS. Oh well š
Hi all. Hoping you can help me out. I recently lifted my 2020 JT. This is not the first vehicle I have lifted but it is the first vehicle I have lifted with adaptive cruise control. Since the lift the ACC does not work. I receive an error message stating that the system needs servicing.
I did...
It did save a whole bunch of weight. Here are the recovery hooks in case anyone else wants to see them.
Trail Forged Mega Tab
I do not know if it would work with other plates. This particular Warn is very "bumpery" looking which is why it works.
