  1. Happy but Nervous

Hemi swap sounds nice! It's actually not a bumper. It's just a warn winch plate with some aftermarket recovery hooks. I got the idea from [Banned Site]. I like the simple functional look of it. Apparently I can't type [Banned Site] but is sounds like wheyalife.
  2. Happy but Nervous

Finally got her back from the shop. Its been over 3 weeks because I was traveling, but she's finally home! I can't believe how good she drives. While I haven't had her on the highway yet, the hour long backroads trip from the shop was amazing. Tight as a drum. Can't say good enough things...
  3. Hitch mounted lockable storage container

What about a Packout mounting plate on the tailgate?
  4. Almost Rubicon - Family camper, weekend overlander, TJ tower

I’d say the first step in getting your overlander card is learning how to climb. Climbing over all the Amazon boxes piled up at your front door. Once you’ve mastered that skill you’ve essentially mastered all the requirements.

Metalcloak 3.5 rocklander, full kit, 37s. I set my JL at 6 degrees which seemed to be the consensus. Worked great especially with the FAD. I believe the gladiator has the same front end as the JL so I was going to 6 degrees again. Is that typical with lifted gladiators or is it lower?
  6. Manual Transmission Club

    Good advice. Thank you.
  7. Manual Transmission Club

Hey all. I’ll admit I haven’t read all 176 pages so if this was already addressed I apologize. I ordered an ACT JP6-HDSS. In the time it took me to research the problem and solution, and find a local shop that I felt I could trust, the guy retired and the shop closed its doors. Of course. Now...
  8. Happy but Nervous

Thanks! Looking forward to the ride.
  9. Happy but Nervous

Here is a pic of my new-to-me 2020 JTR 6sd. I’m really happy because I’ve wanted one for a really long time, and when I finally got it wow was I surprised at how sweet it drove! The clutch and mechanisms are so much tighter, smoother and quieter than my 2018 JL that it feels like I’m in an...
  10. Peddler's Glory with Friends

Try signing up for the Vermont Pilgrimage. It’s the first week of October, there might be some spots left. Armor Ditch Off-road Park in Ossippe is a lot of fun. You can camp on property (no amenities) and there is a nice restaurant/bar there as well. It will also give you lots of practice with...
  11. Peddler's Glory with Friends

I think pin stripes are a fairly normal part of north east wheeling. As to why the trails are so narrow I won’t debate, I’m just glad we have as many places as we do to wheel being such a congested and private part of the country. Wheeling is real hard on your vehicle, from the paint to the...
  12. Death Wobble Drastically Worse After Replacing Parts. Have questions

Someone mentioned a bad shock. That is often overlooked in DW but if a shock can’t adequately dampen movement it could lead to an uncontrolled oscillation especially if something else is a bit off as well. I spend thousands chasing DW only to find out that I had 5 bad tires from Maxxis. Our...
  13. Getting rid of my Gladiator for a Bronco

My wife and I have a bronco and a JLU (I’m in delicate negotiations on a JT at the moment, super excited!) Comfort/driving: The bronco drives nice, like an suv. My Jl is built for off-road so now it’s no comparison, but when it was stock it drove almost as nice as the bronco and I put a bunch...
  14. Random Chime (*dinggg*) while driving...

It typically means that you've climbed through 10,000 feet and the flight attendants are now cleared to enter the flight deck. For coffee and things.
