If you use your gladiator to do Jeep things the single exhaust is the only good option. It’s pointed at the ground so it’s probably also the loudest.
not sure which permanent codes you’re referring to. Mine didn’t go to the dealer with it on but I was able to clear all the codes with the idash. Also, I permanently uninstalled mine and havent had an issue since. Hopefully you can get it figured out!
Does anyone have experience running the EVO double throwdown?
I am planning on doing some suspension upgrades in the future and am considering this as an option for the front. I’d pair it with an external bypass and a coil spring in the rear. My shop says they could put a coilover and bypass...
That sounds like it will be a fantastic setup.
Thank you for sharing. This is the one I was looking at getting but I wasn’t sure if it was worth cutting a hole in my hood lol.
I uninstalled mine when I got a bunch of error codes and haven’t had a problem since. Cleared the code with the idash after the pedal monster was uninstalled.
lol what crap up front? My bumper and winch don’t block my grille. Also, I don’t tow. I drive a lot of steep grades and don’t see oil temps over mid 220s. They could be lower but that’s not overheating.
This is good info. I’ve been considering getting a vented hood. Which one are you using?
Have you seen anyone that’s tried to add an aftermarket oil cooler?
It'll be interesting to see if they start offering that in the near future. The Bronco Raptor comes on 37s stock and seems to do very well off-road for an IFS. I assume Jeep will offer something from the factory to compete with that. They'd be insane to put 37s paired with a 392 without a ud60.
Yeah, I'd agree with that. Especially if you have spent a lot of money on your build and are happy with it. No reason to start over.
I really wish they offered the 392 as well as ud60 axles as an upgrade from the factory
I understand that. I'd love a v8 but I wouldn't trade my JT to have one. The JT is way too versatile. If I did I'd need another overland vehicle and I don't want two off-road vehicles. An AEV Prospector XL is intriguing and would make a great tow vehicle/overland but I think I'd hate driving it...
AMW 4x4 or Bruiser Conversions can do a swap for you. They are pricey though
If you don't need a truck bed, have you considered the 392 wrangler? That could be a great compromise
I've had no cooling issues and don't tow. I know a ton of people are having issues though. I'm assuming one component will not be a fix but maybe a certain combo will see decent results.
- Has any tried running high end aftermarket radiator fans? Also, if you have a bumper/winch that blocks...
Anything is possible if you want to spend the money, but why? It's still too light of a vehicle with not enough power for a towing vehicle. Gas motor runs high rpm and eats fuel and the diesel has issues overheating. Anyways here's another thread talking about it...
Very cool lighting option. I don't see it as a great option for those of us who do heavy off-roading or are in tight spaces. That's a $400 upgraded mirror waiting to be broken or ripped off.
Thank you. I went to https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/lolo/landmanagement/planning/?cid=fseprd993646 and didn't see a place to comment so I assumed it was closed.
Would you mind posting on this thread or sending me a PM when it is open?
I agree with you that while I(and others) may not wheel...
