  1. PPE Transmission Pan?????

The point of shaking the bottles is to mix the additives that settled to the bottom of the bottles since they were boxed. I think it’s important to have those additives in the tranny. If it were me, I’d hope I kept all those bottles. If you have them and have a partially full bottle, pour it...
  2. Power Steering Shut Off On Highway

During my 4 year ownership of the 21 JTR, I replaced 3 power steering pumps due to them quitting. The final 4th pump was fine. The first two, when they quit, were smoking hot to the touch but then when they cooled down would start right back up. No stored or active codes and the tech had no...
  3. First Transmission Drain and Fill

Ya, I’d want to hear it snap in place too. Do the instructions on filter placement to the pan allow the filter to have a slight wiggle? Mopar’s instructions when fastening the two 10mm nuts is to tighten nuts till contact, then back off 1/2 turn. This allows the filter to self adjust into place...
  4. Winter rescues of stranded drivers...

Check with your insurance company about “the Good Samaritan” law. I talked with mine and there are protections afforded you as a Good Samaritan for offering a kind hand, no charge service if damage is done. The other skill you need is to know EVERYTHING that can go wrong and weigh the costs of...
  5. Coolant smell when off-roading?

Check the connector on the underside of the coolant tank. The O-ring in that connector has been known to fail and cause coolant to drip here.
  6. First Transmission Drain and Fill

Sounds like you’re not a fan. I hope now that it’s on good enough, it’s everything you were hoping for.
  7. First Transmission Drain and Fill

It doesn’t have to end there. If what I did is repeatable, then you’ll notice a noticeable temperature drop after the 3rd pan drop and then a significant drop again on your 4th drop. I remember doing my first couple pan drops fairly close together, maybe a month or two apart, then was doing them...
  8. Take off rock rails.

Check out the price in Canada! Hahahaha https://a.co/d/i2pADsx
  9. Take off rock rails.

Do you have a link to those steps?
  10. Upgraded my camp life w/ Keystone Reign RV

The wife and I have also been talking the need for a trailer like this. Very nice. I’d highly recommend the Airlift 1000 air bags. It’ll keep your truck level and your headlights out of oncoming eyes.
  11. 2020 Gladiator rear window leak (so far i suspected the actual small opening window, but actually it is entire top of the window)

Rip it out and apply with a piece of 1” PVC pipe. As you apply the tubing, keep it sprayed down with a mix of water/alcohol and run the rounded edge of the pipe along the tubing. It’ll set it in perfectly all along.
  12. FIRST TIME JEEP BUYER

I have the rubicon for the lockers. I could care less if the sway bar can disconnect as my off-road wheeling isn’t dependent on needing to flex. My use of the lockers is for road side recoveries where someone needs pulling out of a snow filled ditch in the winter or a spun out vehicle needs help...
  13. Installing Air Lift 1000 -- how to get the airbags out and back into the coils

136k kms (84k miles) vs 26k kms (16k miles) The old coils seen many trips, heavy. The new ones are fresh and never carried a load.
  14. Installing Power Steering Magnetic In-Line Oil Filter

I ran a magnetic in-line filter on my 21 JTR for 3 years cuz I didn’t want the pump and steering gear to operate with the wear metals in suspension which in turn will just wear things out faster. Filters are good. If you can’t install a filter, then magnets are also good but in the case of the...
  15. Installing Air Lift 1000 -- how to get the airbags out and back into the coils

After writing off my 21 JTR from a moose hit on the highway back in November 12, 2025 and replacing it with the 23 JTR, December 24, the long arduous task of pulling off what I had and putting it on the 23 began. One of those items is the airbags. Here’s a quick “how to” with a couple pics in...
