If I’m being honest I live in the burbs in michigan. Really looking for a little assistance if I get stuck in some deep snow in northern MI during the winter time. Seems like badlands might be able to get the job done. I’ve read a lot of discussion on how to connect to battery? Are you running...
I saw a huge thread on this setup after I posted. Seems exactly what I’m looking for. I want something that can pull me out of the snow occasionally and will look good. Don’t need to be pulled up a mountain or anything. Did you have any issues with the fit in the mopar bumper; what plate did you...
Can someone explain to me the differences between the 100s of winches available to choose from? I’m looking at WARN, specifically. I don’t need anything hardcore. I want something that can get me out of snow once in a while and will look good with the Mopar Steel Bumper? ~$1000 (is that...
You know what, I think you were spot on with the seal thing. I’ve only had the truck for a month and haven’t been in rain much. Finally drove around in rain today for a bit and the clicking isn’t happening. I think the rain lubed up the seal. So maybe the silicon lube is the trick!
Yeah, it could be the seal that is clicking a little bit now that you mention it. It seems like it’s center/passenger along the front of the front panels but it’s hard to tell. There’s no movement at all in the panels when I put pressure on them. If you could take a pic that would be great...
I’m assuming a little freedom top roof rattle over bumps is normal. Anyone figure out how to alleviate it? Seems like if the clamps were a littler tighter it might?
I have OCD when it comes to rattles. This is my first Jeep — I think I might just need to get over it. ?
Ok, that’s not too bad. It’s usually me or me and the wife cruising around so the back doors would hardly be opened. They do look good, very similar to the mopar ones!
Yeah, doesn’t make any sense. Buy steel tubes, bend steel tubes, powder coat steel tubes.
I want to get them before spring so I have a little time. I really like the WARN and Mopar ones but I might have to start looking at other brands too. So no go on Rugged Ridge?
Looking to pick up some tube doors for the truck — anyone know why WARN and Mopar are never in stock? Is it a supply chain shortage or are they just that hard to get? Thx
Did you take the door assists (stops) completely out? I’ve saw a video online and it looks pretty tedious taking all the door panels off to get to the assist. I’ve also read people just pushing them into the door. But i hate rattles and they said it can be very noisy!
That makes sense. I might be hitting the button simultaneously as I’m putting it in park (that’s also why my foot is still on the brake). Sometimes I just need to take a breath and slow down a little bit.
I love this forum…doesn’t matter how dumb a question you will always get answers! ?
I think it could be me doing it too quickly. I’ve tested it and have been intentional with the push (holding it down for a full second) and it went into OFF. My old car I could pretty much tap it and it goes off.
I just want to make sure nothing is wrong while it’s under warranty still.
Hey guys, I am new to my Gladiator. I’ve noticed sometimes when turning my truck off it’s going into ACC mode and not OFF. Maybe I’m doing it too quickly when putting in park? Maybe having your foot still on the brake still will do that? Pushing the button too quickly instead of holding it? I...
I need to get one of those for sure. In MI it could be 85 and sunny 1 minute and 60 and raining the next! I definitely need some “rain gear” in case I am caught out.
For sure. I’ve been afraid I’m going to start stripping threads so I’ve been taking a lot of time being newer to it. The sleeve bolts on the doors have me the most worried about stripping.
Front two doors and front two roof panels are a no brainer for me rn!
Thanks for the idea, they work great and have a nice clean look! Definitely need some spacers, though. Oreillys has them in stock but only carry 1 in each store so I did a little driving. $8 for 2 mirrors can’t go wrong ?
