Thanks for the info....we used to have a local shop that built driveshafts, but they went out of business years ago. That doesn't leave us much options.
The shocks are not that bad......they do have a softness to them, but it seems to complement the stiffer springs.
Another thing I noticed, is...
Ok, so I have driven approx 250 miles since lift install.
My initial impressions far surpassed what I thought. The JT rides more like a truck now. The springs have a nice rate and the shocks are stiff, to control the body, but do have a nice soft ride.
I would love to have a set of diesel...
Yes I have 35's on currently....been running them even before the lift.
I considered doing one with adjustable uppers/lowers. I did that in my JK. I didn't want to go that far yet. I know from experience, if you don't get your axles exactly right on the angles, it will cause issues.
I went...
It's not bothering at the moment at all. Right now it's my every day driver and I have my 13' JKR to play offroad.
If I was going to start doing some trails I would probably go with an aftermarket drive shaft.
But for right now, there are no vibrations whatsoever. I will keep my eye on it...
So I know a lot of folks were waiting for me to install the RK lift and to let them know the results. My hubby and I installed it on the weekend. It took a while as we don't have a vehicle lift, so we used jackstands on the frame and two regular car jacks.
We are no strangers to doing a lift...
The reservoir is too big for the passenger's side front. The other three are fine. I don't really want to cut my battery out of the box to make it fit.
Didn't know they opened a new larger facility. Moving always takes longer than expected. I should know. I did the same thing a couple of years ago and there are always set backs.
AND this morning I receive a UPS notice from Northridge.....guess what. A few months, turned into shipping my...
I think I have you all beat!
Maine has what they call an excise tax. Well that excise tax cost me $1493 to register my new diesel for the year. AND they go off sticker, not what you paid for it.
For all that money our roads suck too.
Here's my rant....
Ordered an expensive "to me" 3" RK Suspension lift kit from Northridge 4X4, on September 16th.
Everything came in right away except the box kit. I believe that kit has the pucks, rear trackbar bracket, some bolts etc.
Been talking to Northridge and they said RK dropped the...
I have to wonder if they screwed up and put the wrong springs in some of the JT's. I ordered mine the last day of July and received it mid September.
Be interesting to see if the part number of the springs are the same or changed for the diesel models.
Any interest in basically brand new Falcon 3.3 Fast Adjust shocks?
They are 3-4.5" lift. I used them on my gas 3.6 for about a month before I ended up trading in my truck for a diesel. These won't fit the diesel and I can't just buy new front shocks.......so I thought I would put them up for...
They were easy to find in my 3.6 JT I had....
I thought they would be tucked in the same area as my old JT, but I have yet to find the aux button wiring under the hood.....It should be located next to the battery box and fender well right? Do diesels do it different?
