there is a tube that guides air from the headlight grill area to just underneath the airbox intake - it does not connect to the airbox intake. Im not sure about the transmission... I guess i'll have a look.
I like the snorkel - and that you do not have to cut the hood. If you have $600 to throw away on something that looks cool, go for it! It won't turn your jeep into a submarine, but there's less worrying when splashing thru the big puddles. It uses a few rubber gaskets throughout and sort of...
As long as those vehicles are jeeps, the math does not apply as it melds vehicle ownership and having a hobby into 1 expense. Just don't do any other expensive hobbies, like having a boat or worse, a second Jeep!! Plus I'm pretty sure there is a special tax break / deduction for jeep parts...
I did that twice in 2 days. Left the top open before bed, woke up to rain, closed it. Opened it later that day to dry and the next day. Went out with the wife's car while the jeep was still drying in the driveway, it rained hard. Next day it rained and was hot so the jeep smelled like a wet...
Rausch Creek on Sunday. Finally got it on the trails. Hurry up Saturday.
The hill was quite steep, but using the off-road speed control button made easy work of it.
The other week I took the doors off for the weekend. After putting them back on, the remote start and power mirrors no longer operate. When attempting to remote start, I can look thru the drivers side window and see a dash message that says "remote start canceled, door open." The windows...
I have 37's and leave the spare 37 in the garage, but will take it wheeling when the parks open up again (strapped in the bed). I leave the stock 33 under the bed as it could always be used in a pinch.
Close enough. 2290 for the trailer, 7900 of dirt and junk. plus the mod'd jeep with 2 people of 5830 lbs.
total weight of trailer, dirt and jeep when I crossed the scale = 16,020.
whoops!! at 30-40 mph I was getting 2-3 mpg for the 5 mile trip.
I installed a CB radio today. I used the TJ driver side antenna mount kit from Quadratec instead of the JL/JT antenna mount kit as I didn't want it mounting on the hood, but the bed instead. Using the TJ driver side mount allowed me to flip it around so the antenna was hanging over the rail...
2 more runs to Lowes and I'll be done with the concrete. I need 24 more bags (2 trips of 12 each to stay under the 1000 lbs). I used 39 of the 42 bags this weekend.
