You wont get too much down low without adding fuel. Trims will adjust slightly, but id tune it and then add the intake.

Good gouge. Upping the displacement probably isnt worth it when you just sustain he extra boost, so great point. I cant imagine this thing wouldnt take 7,000rpm easily enough, which i feel would be adequate? It would give you that extra little bit to pass in the lower gear.

You dont need to cut the hood if you dont want to. I didnt. The benefit to the intake comes from pipe diameter, airbox size, and change of filter.
