Something in this Recall Notice wording, and the subsequent delay/non-existent status of recall parts does not stack up logically.
The notice above implies that they've had good fuel pumps since May 13 2022 that they can put in new trucks to sell, but they don't have ones to put into or fix pre...
Thanks for the info. Will be too small for my V. Right now he's great in the dogbed I put in the 60 seat delete... but he hates it when I go off road... not secure enough. Oh, well... still need to find an offroad solution for him.
What size Ruffland did you use, for what size dog, and how much of the 60% does it use? I've been looking at these for my 60lb Vizsla, and don't know if the Intermediate (20W x 30L) would fit, or if Backseat Rider (20W x 27L) would not be deep enough for my dog? I'm assuming the pic is of...
I have a Diesel, and gearing in Diesels vs Pentastar is apples vs oranges.
Example: I have stock gearing at 3.73. I've talked with a guy with nearly the same use cases that I have, that ran 35's, 37's and now 38's, with a Diesel, and he recommended not regearing the Diesel until/unless I go...
You say your are doing pretty much strictly on-road, but you don't mention your plans on what weight you will be loading normally.
If you are not carrying much gear, and just wanting to get a little lift to "clear" 35's ... (which by the way I ran 35's with no lift, no problem)... then the...
OP is trying to justify cost of Clayton vs. competitors, and I'll add my experience.
- Customer Service - Clayton provided me with daily updates on diesel spring availability, and did immediate/same-day express shipping the day they got them to enable me to get installed for a Moab trip...
Yes, I increased the rear PSI to 35 for towing. Might not have had to go that high on the BFG 37's.
I first tried one extra click on the high speed, and two clicks on the low speed in the rear when towing. Was still getting a little bounce/wobble, so I added one more high speed and three low...
Yup, and I didn't have time before the run to re-check all the mounting bolts for my Smart Cap to make sure I didn't loose it on the run! But good fun. I think I did get a little air on one of the double whoops.
Great run today Tony! And then pretty solid trailer haul afterward. I ran...
No doubt that "total cost of ownership" in this model must not include all the optional mods that Jeep owners always do. On the one hand, that could skew costs lower for things like shocks, and suspension part 'cause jeep owners typically swap out and improve before anything there breaks...
Let us know how you like those when you get them installed. As I said, I have the fox 2.5 performance elite, which are adjustable, and have front remote reservoir, and rear piggyback. And I think the damping is a bit lite. But you can get them tuned if you need to.
What Shocks are you planning on running with your Clayton lift?
Two responders above are running the Falcon adjustables, ... which they have a separate part number and I'm assuming a specific tune for JTD's. When I got my Clayton lift installed back in April '22, the Falcons were still on...
You will like this lift. I've had it in (minus the HD rears) since April last year. Very high quality. My shop that did the install does a lot of Metalcloak (but at the time Metalcloak did not have diesel springs). This was their first install with Clayton, and they were really impressed...
Yes, I saw a couple posts on that on the JL forum for ecodiesels, where the harness was somehow misrouted on the wrong side of the heat shield next to the EGR and got hot. I asked two of the dealers to check that, and they both said "it looked ok". I'm sure they didn't buzz any lines to verify...
Was this last shim order because you are going to 38's, or some other reason? Sounded like after your post #214 you had it dialed in pretty good with 37's.
Mind sharing your final 37" stack, as that is probaby what I'd target in mine, as I'm pretty close to yours in total weight and springs...
I've got a similar, yet different issue. Mine is a "Service Shifter" error, started getting it when towing, but now will happen on a hot day, no towing, going up my steep driveway from a dead stop. Engine temps normal.
Some Background... 34k mi on my jeep, put 37's on in March, towed 4.5k...
Follow on issue. "Check Shifter"
One week into it with the new radiator, now when I'm pull my 4.5k trailer up steep grades (e.g. 6% or better), even short pulls, once the transmission has successfully downshifted from 7, to 6, to 5... once it gets past that it then throws a "Service...
Nearly exact same spot as mine. Mine was in the seam just below the metal clip. Dealer said "when we've seen this in the Wranglers, it usually is just above the metal clip, and usually leaks slowly..." like you reported... so this seems not to be a one-off. Mine was spewing coolant.
Don K...
Starting a new thread since I didn't see anything out there yet on this.
32k on a '21 JTR Ecodiesel (although my understanding is the radiator is the same on the Pentastar). Only real mod is 2.5" lift, with Fox remote resi shocks, and 37's.
Driving in Glacier area, on a mildly washboard...
