Curious to see how they are holding up and whether you feel like you made the right decision with the RSEs?
I had AMPs on my JK and replaced two motors in 4 years. Even though their warranty was great, I am a little reluctant to go with AMP. I do like AMP wider step.
I mean he is not much off.. My shocks are perfect in the rear, but seem like could drop little more in the front. For .5 inch gain in the front, its not worth for me to upgrade to 2-3 inch set. If I decide to upgrade shocks in the future, I would step up to falcons adjustable.
Thats only 1.1 inch longer than a Mopar lift shock. I have a shock specification thread with all shock lengths that I have been able to capture. You have to remember that the shock is mounted on an angle, so its not a 1.1 inch drop. More like 3/4 of an inch. But I am curious if this will work...
you really don't need front or rears unless you are planning on running 37 inch tires. So save yourself $120 and a couple of hours of your time and add later if need.
Every part except for shocks. Loosen control arms and have a local alignment shop retorque. Alignment is not really necessary, just straighten the steering wheel. Mark the original location with a marker, makes it easier to play with steering adjustments. Otherwise, follow mopar lift kit...
I actually piecemeal'ed mine from BAM. Ordered all parts except for the shocks. It was roughly 650 for everything you would need. I am running fox 0-1.5 inch shocks which are little shorter, by about an inch or so, but for now they are working well. Looking to supplement with Falcon Adjustable...
Looking to match with Mopar lift - 2-3 inch setup. Please PM if you have a set available.
Or if you aware when I can get a good deal on a set of brand new shocks, please send me a link.
Thanks!
Not necessarily. I had my JK painted and they didn't smooth out the top. The concern is it may not come out even if you start sanding it. Its a whole lot of labor to get it perfectly smooth. I would not recommend sanding it as it becomes cost prohibitive and will never come out perfect.
