Alright. Just picked up my brake controller from my Dealership. Part number 82215652AB. Holy hat...there are alot of parts to this...LOL.
Initial impresion...need a language course to understand the directions. I see they show a special tool for removing the power outlet. Is that required? Or...
I'm picking up my controller on Tuesday. Will hopefully install it this week. My JT is a Rubicon with the factory tow package, heavy duty radiator, etc. I don't have any of the adaptive cruise, blind spot monitoring, etc. My buddy who is the service manager told me that it does need to have a...
Spoke to the dealership I ordered mine from. He hadn't received it yet. So he called someone and got back to me. He told me it was released yesterday and he should have it next week. He told me that he was supposed to be getting a memo updating the date of delivery.
We will see what happens.
Just spoke to the friend of mine who is a service manager at our local Jeep dealership. He checked my order and as was reported a few responses above it is listed as in transit with ETA of 10/21/2020. Fingers crossed!! Installation looks easy enough. Then have to have computer flashed by dealer...
Just called my local dealer. I know the service manager there. He checked and confirmed that it is expected to be released on October 16, 2020. He put an order in for me and will let me know what happens. I'll post an update when I hear something
I have to say...the difference in weight from the stock plastic bumpers to a metal one is pretty impressive, especially when adding a winch. You really could be increasing the weight off the front of your frame by a 125lbs or more.
Thanks for this. I have the 3" Prox-X kit in my Rubicon. I love the kit and the ride. I'm living with the rake right now as it does allow you to maintain the vehicles payload and towing ability. But...after seeing this...really shows how much I'm missing out on....lol. I have a steel front...
I had posted in here at some point after installing my kit. I installed 45 degree and 90 degree fittings on several of my arms. Makes greasing much easier. In rear I think I did 90 degree on upper and 45 degree on lower. I have to double check. I only had to do it on the rear arms at the frame ends.
I think for most who are looking for a 'complete' functional kit yo are looking at about 3000-3500. I have RKs Pro-X Stage 1 kit. A good solid complete kit for around 3K. They make a top notch product. Their RRd shocks, which are built in-house, for the poster who asked who makes their shocks...
Agreed. The rear tires are too far forward as well. Alot of overhang behind that rear tire. I will definitely be trading my Gladiator if a 5.7L becomes available from the factory
No issues here. Took ownership in Jan 2020. Has almost 4500 miles on it. Sometimes it sounds like the motor stumbles a little. Nothing that you feel, just hear it. Doesn't always sound smooth as expected and it very brief. Not getting any codes so I just assume it is normal.
Thanks for the input guys. I also run mobil 1 in my wife's 5.7 hemi Grand Cherokee and my son's 5.7 Hemi Ram 1500. Just bought 5 6 packs of mobil 1. Think I'll run these through and switch it up to a certified one. I should change the other trucks as well.
Any issues with running mobil 1 oil? I see a lot of mention of Pennzoil. I did my first oil change at 1500 miles. At 3500 now so next one is at 4500. I run it in all my vehicles. My JKU has 200K on it and still runs strong.
I'm just over 3K miles on my Gladiator. I had previously replied and wasn't the happiest with it. I have to say that I feel what it has is 'okay'. As a JKU owner with a 3.8L. yes...nice difference, but given the mileage it gets and power output. I will say that I really think Jeep should of...
