I chose to delete my AUX over a year ago and replaced the main with an Odyssey 48-720 ... all systems work as designed. The ESS system will error out after six cycles, but will reset at the next restart. I rarely see six cycles and really don't pay much attention to it.
For those who state the...
... I 2nd the above statement. U-joint popped and then proceeded to un-install his ball joints. Yes, a nuance of the current JL and JT, but IMO total driver error.
.... Trail Mater loves to recover stupid!
My AUX shit the bed and then took the starter battery with it ... I actually DO spend significant time "off grid" and wanted to lessen the chance of being stranded by the AUX. I deleted the AUX a year ago and never looked back. I could care less about the ESS ... it still works as designed.
If you're running Hi-Line (Rubi) Fenders then you should be able to run 37's with that lift. The stock wheels might allow tire rub a bit on the front lower control arms. You'll probably also need to run a bump stop extension. Your stock 3.73 gearing won't like the 37's very well .... so that...
Interesting ... I noticed no difference between the stock Rubi's and the 2.0's. I swapped the 2.0's to my wife's JL (rears only, fronts are JL specific) and while they improved the down road compliance the JL lost some stability. A Helwig sway bar brought some stability back into the package...
No ... the starters have been engineered and tested for something like 1 million cycles. I have yet to see a single report of a failed starter due to the ESS system. My question is the ESS system causing other issues because people do not allow oil pressure to reestablish before driving off.
