  1. What's your exterior car wash routine?

I go for longevity over deep shine. I wash and dry with microfiber, then do 2 coats of Collinite 845 Insulator Wax and Power Lock. It’s a pain in the ___ to put on, but it protects for 6 months or more. During that time, I usually just hose off.
  2. Where’s everyone’s favorite spot to buy wheels and tires

Realtruck gave me a great deal on my Fuel wheels. Costco for tires (BFG AT KO2) although a local shop matched Costco (close enough at least) so I gave them my business.
  3. Just Installed the Fox Steering Stabilizer. All I can say is WOW!

@Clayton Off Road or others in this thread - Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm looking at upgrading my stabilizer post-lift. I'm really interested in the Fox TS, but I'm reading horror stories about the mounting bracket that comes with the JT version. Looking at the above, it appears...
  4. Talk me off the ledge

I just picked up my '22 JTSD two weeks ago. It arrived just prior to Christmas from the factory and had a fuel injection pump issue before I could even pick it up. Threw a Check Engine Light on the way to the car wash 2 hours before I was due to get it. Took a month and hours on the phone...
  5. Hell of a deal on a Truck Tent $25

They have some of these again. I just ordered one. Fingers crossed I can get it working…
  6. Installing L track

I just did this on my ā€˜22 JTSD and wanted to say thank you for the details and part list. Saved me a ton of time and turned out great. I put a track on the cab side as well. The Rivet nut tool was a good add to my tool box. I’ll probably use it on our boat this summer for some add on storage...
  7. Rugged Ridge Venator with Arcus Hoop

I've got the Venator Stubby and the Arcus over-rider in my garage. I've just been waiting for some time to put them on. I had the exact same feelings you did re. the Venator over rider, so your initial post showing it was possible was a big help for me. I'm also going with a tube motif for...
  8. Forum Exclusive Groupbuy from ORACLE Lighting: Heated Oculus

I get it. So basically that harness could be the relay trigger. I'm assuming it could handle just the low draw of the relay, but then the actual power feed would come from something else (Cig lighter fuse via an add-a-circuit or just any 12v source). Do you know what the "logic" rules are for...
  9. Forum Exclusive Groupbuy from ORACLE Lighting: Heated Oculus

Oh good observation. Thanks so much. @HjStrater Quick question for you - was there anything you were able to do to fix the issue and source from the DRL or did you have to source the power from a different place? If you had to source from somewhere else, where did you source from?
  10. Forum Exclusive Groupbuy from ORACLE Lighting: Heated Oculus

Has anybody had issues getting the halos to even cut on? I have a '22 JTSD with factory halogen lighting. No DRL. used the Quadratec DRL harness to tap into my wiring, so no splicing. I activated the DRL's with my Tazer and did the reboot/2 sleep cycle. The tap off the wiring harness I'm...
  11. Which second vehicles compliment the gladiator best?

I was almost afraid I'd get flamed for mentioning my Volvo initially ? - seems a lot of us have them! I think the whole Volvo line-up right now is fantastic, especially when you compare it to the other luxury brands for the price. As some have noted, they are on-par with non-luxury brands...
  12. Oracle Tail Alternatives

So I've been eyeing those same lights - There are probably easily 5 different sellers on Amazon that sell the same light as the CJ Pony ones above. Does anybody know if they are 100% all the same? They look exactly the same, but just curious if there's any difference.
  13. Which second vehicles compliment the gladiator best?

My daily is a Volvo XC90. Big enough to fit me, the wife, 2 kids and a dog for trips to see the grandparents. I have a roof-top cargo pod for longer trips and more cargo if needed. It's got a 4-cyl that makes plenty of power and gets 20-25 MPG. Fantastic highway manners and a very refined...
  14. A little about us

Hi all - just adding an unsolicited review of Alex and my RealTruck experience. I just picked up my Jeep Gladiator a short time ago, but I started ordering parts from RealTruck just after I placed my order with Jeep. Alex has been fantastic to work with and I've been very pleased with him and...
  15. Best Dead Pedal?

Just installed the same one about an hour ago. Really solid and the price can’t be beat. Install was a little rough just due to tight confines, but it only took me 20 minutes or so. Tie some fishing line through the bracket hole. It helps if you drop it. When you are done just yank it off.
  16. Havoc Offroad HS2 Side Steps - Review 2021 Jeep Gladiator

So I just installed these on my new '22 JTSD earlier today - I didn't have the bracket alignment issues the OP had. In general, fit and finish was very good. The only issue I had was the rear passenger side bracket was shifted about 1/4" too far forward to line up with the hole in the body...
  17. Built my own interior amber LED light bar.

I need to look into this. I just got my Jeep this week, and the first thing I noticed was that I had a hard time finding little buttons and things at night because it was so dark in the cab. My daily driver is a Volvo XC90, and it has accent lights that very subtly light up the interior in the...
  18. MY22 Only - Anyone moved to D1?

Finally picked up my truck from Chapman last night. All is well in the world. :) The fuel system issue is all fixed, and my JTSD drives like a dream. It got the seal of approval from my 7-year old on the ride home who exclaimed that he wanted me to take him to school in it every day. I do...
  19. MY22 Only - Anyone moved to D1?

So the part came in on Thursday, and Chapman got it all fixed....but.....along with the fix, they have to do some on-road testing, and that testing is recommended to be done above freezing temperature. It's below freezing all weekend here, so praying for Monday or Tuesday at this point. If I...
  20. Garage Hoist for Rack and RTT

So I have a good bit of experience raising things up to the garage roof. I have a cargo pod and a small kayak raised up via normal ropes, but I did rig up a hoist for my tandem pedal kayak. I used one of the harbor freight hoists and some pulley blocks mounted to the ceiling. Those hoists are...
