I installed a Baja Designs 10" light bar in wide driving (40 degrees) pattern in amber.
Wanted some fill further out than OEM LED fogs offer.
Have always found amber/yellow does better in foggy or snowy conditions.
Here are some pix, light bar only, fogs and light bar, then added headlights, all...
So, Monday I start work at a new job. I am a steamfitter by trade.
I go to Kokomo, Indiana to work at the Stellantis engine plant.
They are retooling and adding pipe capacity to existing building.
So now JEEP will be paying me to make my JEEP payment.
So all of you keep making your monthly...
When I installed my front bumper and winch, I used sticky zip tie blocks to anchor the fog light harness.
Did a couple of loops to take up slack and put the zip tie blocks in those locations.
Well, I didn't pay attention to where things were when I mounted winch and tightened everything down...
The ones I am asking about are on the plastic bumpers.
Do they all attach the same way? Across the different trims?
Mine is a Rubicon, they don't have the "wings" that stick up in front of the tires. Have 7 or 8 tree pins holding them on.
If they all attach in the same pattern, then I have a...
This is off of the plastic bumper of a Rubicon, the steel skid plate that does NOT attach to the bumper.
Includes everything needed (4 brackets, 8 bolts to attach brackets, 4 bolts to attach skid to brackets) EXCEPT the nutserts. You will have to source those yourself.
I will ship BUT, buyer...
Not going in depth, cut and dry and has been covered elsewhere.
Main thing I want to mention, after seeing someone else say they galled some threads on a bolt, the top outside mounting holes on the frame horns might need to be drilled out. Both of mine the ID of the backside was smaller than...
Rear aftermarket bumper is next on my list.
The bumper I am going with has mounting points for 3" x 3" surface mount lights.
Which would be best for this location, flood or spot?
Thanks
Received my Bolt Hood Lock and installed it today.
Included in the package was a JL Center Grill Insert with the Bolt cutout in it.
You pay for shipping and the insert is yours.
Again, this is a JL center insert, WILL NOT FIT JT.
Anyone found a work around on the 2 remote start limit yet?
First vehicle I've had that limited me on remote starts. Sometimes 30 minutes isn't enough to thaw out frozen doors and I REALLY don't want to replace torn up door seals.
Yes, I wipe the seals with WD40, but sometimes it doesn't help.
Okay,
I'm old and old school. When I get my Rock Hard front bumper I am leaning toward KC Daylighter 6" round LED driving lights.
I know there are cubed pods and light bars, but are they any better? Are they more concentrated in area lit than the old school rounds?
Most of my driving is done...
So, I have been looking to replace the OEM bumpers on my Rubi.
Front is the dull plastic and then the standard rear.
I was leaning very strongly to JCR because I love their rear bumper with ability to have swing away tire carrier. But the major reason is their built-in receiver behind the...
@AllMoparParts.com
This is a shout out to All Mopar Parts and Bennie.
Bennie tirelessly answers questions and digs through his parts catalog to get people exactly what they want. Even though he knows most people will shop the part and not buy from him.
I will spend a little extra for a part...
Just completed first oil change.
A little early on miles (5583) but long on months (8 1/2 months since purchase).
A few insights.
First,it is GREAT to not have to get out the ramps or jack and stands to change the oil. I'm big chested and yes, big bellied. But was able to slide under from the...
You have parts ordered and they're on backorder, and you get a notification from UPS that someone has put in a ship ticket and you can't figure out which part is coming early?
:CWL:
Now I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve, know something is coming but no idea what.
:headbang:
For those that have the OEM steel front skid plate.
That sucker is heavier than it looks and WILL goose egg your head when it slips and bangs your head.
I am so used to extremely lightweight protection plates under other vehicles that I thought I could just one hand it and move it when last...
So, hop in the JT this morning, start her up, put her in gear, roll forward about 40 feet and do a left turn to back up and turn around and *POP* in the front end, steering wheel jumps out of my hands and spins. Vehicle unstable light starts flashing, while slowly going straight steering wheel...
So, I tried a little experiment. I do have a Taser Lite so this also stays in the last position used.
I turned off the electronic traction control, as I had done in my Explorer Sport before, and noticed throttle response is more crisp. Don't know why it works but it does. I had asked a Ford...
To be honest, didn't think about this when I bought in early March.
I have 7' single piece rods, how are you that fish SAFELY and SECURELY transporting your gear with this short bed? If and when I get the Upper Deck from A.C.E. I have a few ways I can get it done, but right now I'm drawing a blank.
For those of you that have this bumper WITH the over rider.
Are there provisions in the over rider to mount auxiliary lights?
If not, do you think holes could be drilled in the flat sections on top of the bar to mount lights?
TIA for your help.
