Thanks for the reply. How have you liked your Baja Boss AT's? I've got KO2s & not really impressed with them in rain.
Yes, I think the only way for the Grabber X3 is probably with the Clayton Rear Track Bar & removing the heat shield & lowering the air presure.
Thanks for the quick replies.
@NoDoorsNoProblem I'm glad to hear that you haven't had any issues since topping it off.
So far no major leaking that I can see.
@WK2JT , Well, yes, actually ;). My bigger issue is just loose steering that seems to be getting worse over time. I noticed that my...
@NoDoorsNoProblem , @WK2JT Were you able to get this replaced under warranty?
I have the same issue and I am still under basic warranty until May 20, which it should technically be covered under. My dealer just called me and I was told that they (Chrysler) will not cover the replacement of...
Just a few points to consider:
Maybe you can get away without doing an ABS power brake bleed, you can only try and find out and let us know if you have any issues since it seems there's a few different opinions on this matter.
With this being said I do know for a fact after an 'ABS' activated...
@Jglad15 Really like how you mounted these. Do you have any pictures of just the boomerang mounts themselves on the ceiling rails? They look very low profile. Trying to decide if I've got enough room to do this same setup with everything else I've got installed on the ceiling.
Thanks for your reply. The reason mine is leaking a little is due to installing a smaller stand pipe through the original cap itself & just not happy with how messy it's been. I just found a similar stand pipe to yours on Amazon so I'll see if I can have better luck with that. Yes, I've been...
@Wolf Island Diver I have a few questions on this. Can you please elaborate a little more on your rotopax & stand pipe set up?
When you are traveling you mentioned you're detaching your rotopax from the diesel heater and have them mounted on your external rotopax mounts. Is this still the case...
Great, thanks for your reply. I just installed a contour yesterday but will go back and readjust. I was actually thinking that the gasket should be compressed more.
@HereWeGo I looked for your followup on this but maybe I missed it. Can you please share what AVO told you about how to do the shims differently than what is in the AC instructions?
@HoustonGobi now that it's probably been a couple of years, how did these hold up for you post 25k miles? I'm looking at either getting new KO2s or going with AT3W's in the next few weeks.
I still haven't been able to identify the cause and have just decided to drive it until it breaks as the dealership is an absolute waste of time. I did notice a correlation between the sound and the engine stumbling/cutting out while accelerating, which only happened a few times. I also noticed...
Looks great. I'm going to order the contour canopy next week. Just wondering about how you mounted your ikamper, could you have mounted it with the lower profile version of cross bars or are those ikamper clamps too bulky for a low profile install?
I'm really surprised as AEV is usually pretty spot on with quality. My AEV sway bar link boots are also completely cracked/worn out as well after only being on for a single winter. I think these are covered by warranty, but I don't expect the replacements to hold up and I'd rather not be...
I've experienced this soft brake pedal as well. The problem really came about and was noticeable after an incident where I hit some ice and the ABS engaged. After trying the normal bleeding of brakes & checking the components of the brake system the only thing that ended up fixing it was to...
Chorky,
Thanks for your post on this and the in-depth analysis. While you've posted and linked to the newer 3rd gen system I'd like to point out an issue with the Genesis dual system Gen 2 that has left myself and a few of my friends (and apparently several on the JL forums) I jeep with rather...
