Been a while since I posted on this thread, so here's a quick update. I did go with custom spings, a bit expensive, but I'm in development mode and can stomach it for the moment ($450/pair).
I achieved 17.5in of wheel travel, but now the rockjock swaybar arms are hitting the fenderwell. I saw...
Forgot to mention too, I definitely prefer fox 2.5 with aluminum body (better heat dissipation) over Bilstein steel body and smaller piston. I know a fox 2.5 has a 2.25in dia piston, the Bilstein have 46 (I believe they quote their piston size and not body size) and 46mm is less than 2in. I've...
Man I'm sure glad I built my truck online, then searched for local inventory only to see the non S model was not in stock anywhere so I had to order it anyway. I had to have my roll-up windows.
Oh, and Politics? Well, I hope one day we can cut our taxes by 33% because our national debt is...
I'm doubtful of that, the watts link only lets you have so much travel, I'm surprised they didn't leverage a similar set up as F150 Raptor (track bar vs watts link). My current understanding is that the Ranger Raptor is rated for just above 5,000 lbs of towing. Bronco Raptor is 4,500. It seems a...
The Ranger Raptr suspension set up is interesting, almost 12in of front wheel travel, but less than 10 in the rear and typically it is easier to get more travel out of the rear than the front. The bronco Raptor has 13/14in front/rear travel, so I'm wondering what led for to the watts set up in...
how much boost are you generating with the small pulley? When I first installed my SC the tune Magnuson sent me resulted in about 22.9psi of absolute pressure at full boost (8.2psi of actual boost). In their more recent tune I hit 27.1psi of absolute pressure (roughly 12.4psi of boost) and with...
I skimmed all the responses quickly so forgive me if I'm repeating something. That lift kit doesn't look like it has decent track bar relocation bracket. (it looks like there is one, but doubt it is sized correctly). This is important because although the suspension typically swings forward/back...
my initial understanding was that it would only impact inertial forces, but magnuson told me that the force needed to keep my tires going with my gear set up are the likely cause. What I dont understand is how this is true because my baseline was exacty like everyone elses.
I did go back to the...
Ah, I could barely squeeze 326 at the wheels. I had 37's and 4.56, but it's still pretty far off from 375. My baseline matched the factory power though.
Looking forward to the build!
I cut everything off after the resonator. Added a 12in long tail pipe to the resonator with turn down. It's a little louder when past 50% throttle which is fine. Cruising on the highway at 75 there's minimal increase in volume.
Lower left side of kick panel of driver's seat. It is what they plug into to scan the vehicle at the dealership. Super easy to find the port/plug. From there just follow it back to the firewall. Might be easier to remove the kick panel, it pops off and back on easy enough
I'd check the wires from the OBD plug into the firewall. Mine went bananas once after coming around a curve in some mild whoops and everything turned on (wipers, every warning light, etc.) and power steering shut down. Then the engine would not turn off. Once I disconned the battery and...
Excited to hear about the outcome! I saw MMX has an 80mm throttle body, any thoughts on including that with your engine build? MJM is who I was going to connect with in a few months when I am ready to build mine.
whats the diagnostic code the vehicle is throwing? It is possible it is related to an abs sensor. My truck had a bad abs wire which caused the 4wd service light to pop on. I used my scanner and it told me left rear speed sensor out of bounds. I switched it and everything cleared up.
well hot damn, thanks for pointing that out. I didnt realize the compression bumped up from 10.2 to 11.3. I totally see your point on wanting the lower correction.
