I built and installed a new exhaust. I bought a thrush muffler off Amazon and a 27.5 inch extension pipe. Otherwise it was my welder and angle grinder. I think it sounds good and it is even better for the under $50 and about 5 hours of my time. If nothing else I got to practice some more welds...
I am torn between my next addition. I am debating between a winch and the Hotheads headliner. The winch would be the harbor freight 12k synthetic and I had it on my JKU so I know what I am getting. I know they are not an exact price match and let's ignore the $100 or so difference.
Thoughts?
I have the front inner fender liners. I had to do some cutting on them to make them work but for the price I ultimately was okay with it. There was not a notch for the electrical connection for the fender lights.
Thanks for the response and video. That helps a lot to give a better idea of what I will be looking at. It seems with different wheels and fenders I should be ok. I am still a little ways off before buying anything but that is a great start to knowing what to get.
The LED strip has yellow sequential and white lights. I used orange tape to cover it to make both lights orange. So when the headlights are one it is solid orange and the sequential turn signals.
Harbor freight sells them for $40 (I think) and you can always get a 20% off coupon. I have two of them and they seem well made. They are steel not plastic too.
Although I do not have a Mojave, I also enjoy the orange accents and have added the dashpad and vents to my sport. If I could make a suggestion to also include where you found or how you made the item.
I have searched and found quite a few threads about will 37s fit on a stock Rubicon. From that, the answer is yes but...articulation and wheel spacing and this and that. To keep the question more simple let's ignore the wheel spacing aspect and all the other very specific cases. I have a Sport...
It is not necessary at all. It is not included with all models. It was the first thing I took off before getting a new front bumper. From my understanding, it helps to improve aerodynamics and thus fuel economy.
It is small chipping. I have the square metal washers on the outside and when I moved them small bits came off. Nothing major just noticeable. I let all the paint dry for a few days before installing too so I think it is just pressure when I secure it all together.
I have not mounted the winch yet but I will not take it off when I do. There seems to be enough room to get everything into it. I have a Sport S as well and the fog lights mount with no modification. With that said they are a pain in the ass because of the type of screws they include. I...
The reason I painted mine was availability. Lowes and Home Depot do not stock black strut channeling and the only reason I painted it was to blend in with the bedliner. I am not sure if the black strut is more expensive or not but it was a one day project to go to the store and finish it the...
If you don't mind me asking, what did they charge you for the Line-X? I have mine with the spray-on bedliner (from a can) and it looks good but when I move the points around it sometimes chips.
