I'd like to mount a light bar on the front bumper of my Sport S. Feels like all plastic... is there anything solid in there? Big self tapper screws? Cant get to the back side of the top. I'd be going in about 9" outside of the tow hook on each side.
Love this forum. Have a great balance of newbies, solid jeepers, and f&%$ing know-it-alls to make for great sharing. You just have to know what to ignore. Jeep people in general are good people.
And yes, Facebook is a scourge, a plight, a plague, a true boil on the ass of humanity and on a...
What does it cost to get this far? I had a customer in who had purchased a burgundy colored Gladiator. Not a Rubi or a Mojave, and he said it was $57k and change out the door with a few mopar add on's, some special wax or crystal finish on the paint, and scotchguarding the seats. No lift...
Got my decals in yesterday and had them all on (in my heated shop) in about 3 hours. They told me at least 70 degrees for the install, so I set the heat on 72, put them on, and left it in there overnight. All from my local sign shop for $81.
Kinda like picking underwear...everyone likes something different for different reasons. Some guys have had one set of tires and will tell you why they are the best, and others have had many sets and can tell you what they like and why. A lot of opinions are based on smaller tires like 285's...
Seat slammers made a huge difference for me. 6-5, 280, and back muscle issues, not bone. Messed up ligaments / muscles in my sacroiliac years ago and it rears its head every now and then...
I drove the Gladiator about 75 miles one way to go out for the day Saturday with my wife, and here are my gearing observations.
It drops to 6th pretty readily on the two lane, and stayed there a lot at 70 on the interstate.
At 70 mph (with 4.10 gears and 34.69 tall tires) we were running about...
Put Weatherguard mud flaps on the front to hopefully keep the county road crap off the door handles this weekend. Also installed the seat slammers on the drivers seat. Both items went on exactly per the instructions and look great. Seat slammers definitely got rid of the unsupported thigh...
My tires are 34.69" tall as measured around the outside of the tread and dividing by pi. I've seen people running 37's with no lift, so 35's are no issue at all, at least for street driving. Whether they will rub off road, I do not know.
Got my Tazer Lite. Instructions had to be viewed on my tablet as none were included in the box. Instructions were out of order, poorly written, and I can see where a novice would have trouble following them.
I got the speedo recalibrated via changing tire size, and lowered the psi warning to...
Since no law ever created has stopped criminals from obtaining firearms
This says it all. The law is on the books, and yet, they have them. Enforce the laws currently in place-we need no more. In reality, our society may never need another law if the ones written were followed.....
I found those on Amazon. Dig around as there are kits and also individual pieces available. We didn't want to overdo the orange, but we really like the accent it gives the interior. Wife installed them in 10 minutes and they have remained stuck. We likem!
Gladiator Sport S Max Tow
Daily driver for 15 mile round trip commute
Occasionally will drive 50-80 miles for a doctors appt, shopping, etc
All local driving is at 55 mph with one person, empty-please keep that in mind!
Tires changed to Kanati 12.50-35-17, probably about 34" tall, 3" lift...
I'm going to attempt to share an Excel Spreadsheet I've used for years for observing gear ratio, tire size, and their effects on MPH and RPM. 79 Jeeps in, and I've only actually done 3 or 4 gear changes. CJ's were geared notoriously high, with most having 3.54 out of the box. You could end up...
