Using a phone seems like a bad idea to me too. I'm upset because I didn't have any idea the recall had even happened until I received the winch. Telling people they need to wait 20 weeks for the $100 certificate to buy a sub-par wireless replacement is not acceptable. I use wireless almost...
I am upset about this. I bought the Evo 10 and there was zero info about a recall on the site when I bought it. I had no idea until I received the winch with a sticker on the outside saying it was wired only and the wireless had been removed. I would have never bought it if I knew wireless...
Just installed a 4 pack of rock lights for a Colorado wheeling trip. Got to use them for some night wheeling. I actually ordered another 2 pack add on kit as soon as I got back to get some light under the tail end.
Question: I have high and low connected to a Voswitch, so there is no toggle...
Agreed. The weight, distance limitations, repair options, etc., make them completely impractical in something like a Jeep. I don't understand why people who enjoy the outdoors, and especially backcountry travel, would be in any hurry to jump on board.
Can't believe there are people still using that. I'm old enough to have been a part of the early dial up days and later the AOL discs they shipped all the time in the metal cases.
I send a mod an IM, but he hasn't responded and I see this scammer is still lurking the Marketplace, so this is to make sure no one gets scammed. Scammers are the lowest scum there is. Anyway, I posted a message looking to see if an item was still available in a thread from earlier this year...
I do not believe there is a difference. I recently bought one and it was shown to be for JL/JT. I went Maxim-3 though. I don't trust RC for much of anything personally, much less something load bearing. This is probably my 10th build. I have learned and no longer buy on price alone. YMMV.
Appreciate the response. I will grab some of that. I think I will probably replace all the hardware with stainless or yellow zinc. Can't believe they ship fasteners that are oxide instead of zinc, stainless, or even phosphate.
I have Method 17x8.5 with Mickey Thompson MTZ in 37x12.50 and was able to fit it yesterday without "adjusting" the heat shield. I do have some miles on it, but it looks like I would fit a 38 with a little wear. Metalcloak track bar. Room at the hitch and bar.
Not sure about that. I'm getting maybe 16 hwy with 37s and 4:88s, by my overall shows 14.4. I wish I had 5:13s lol. The extra torque would be handy in day to day driving and towing. 4:88 is ok off road because I'm probably in low and have plenty of gear in low.
We can talk about the weather and hope it somehow addresses the issue, I guess. The problem, is that this is a political issue. Sure, it is only in a handful of states...today. This is being forced on all of us shortly. So how is it productive to have a long discussion without being able to...
