  1. Remote start not working?

What process did you use to stop ASS?
  2. Goodyear Wrangler Territory MTs vs BFG K02s

They are for sure. I like them better than KO2s, but the hold every rock on the road and toss them back at you. More than any tire I have ever used. They are actually pretty decent in snow, but not great in mud. Hopefully the non-oem version has longer lasting tread.
  3. Manual winch

I've used those before. I would buy an electric winch. Also I wouldn't trust that bent plate mount for much more than 500 lbs. None of that gear is rated for lifting. Neither is a standard electric winch, but keep it in mind when working around weight in the air.
  4. Is it worth getting the options from the factory, or adding myself afterwards?

I really like the leather and led lights. I went Voswitch and they are an ok replacement for the oem aux switches. I like the steel front bumper but it does require $2-300 for a winch plate as mentioned. I've found the finish to be a lot longer lasting than after market steel, but in sure it...
  5. Mickeys

I am running Baja Legends and like them a lot. Will be moving to these next after seeing reviews.
  6. Warn EVO Recall

Found a video and it will be super easy. I expected the secondary control wiring to be potted and covered, but they are just exposed spade connectors. Mine is still all in box. I am on the hunt now for a wireless remote/receiver combo that is waterproof, maybe from another winch.
  7. Warn EVO Recall

So I FINALLY got my rebate after almost 6 months and after I had to email them twice to ask. The stupid bluetooth dongle plugs into the corded port, so you can't just leave it in. Warn also still has the service kit for sale https://www.warn.com/vr-evo-remote-and-service-kit-109470 which...
  8. In-Cab Winch Controller

Just drove an hour and a half each way to retrieve mine that was left on the tailgate after pulling myself and af friend out. I'm going to do an in cab and have the wireless as a back up. Have in cab on my side by side and it's really convenient.
  9. Winch Plate Compatibility and Moving Controller Housing

Do not go cheap on the mounting plate. The last thing you want to let loose with 10k on it is a mounting plate. The JCR is a good option. I'm not a fan of RC at all. I like American made and welded for things that are load bearing.
  10. Spicer gears on backorder

Check East Cost Gear Supply, they appear to have them. Great shop and they usually have a decent stock from what I have seen. I wouldn't order anything from 4WP personally anyway. https://eastcoastgearsupply.com/i-23993479-jeep-jl-dana-44-220mm-rear-5-13-ring-pinion.html
  11. where are you powering the winch?

I may have once buried a vehicle in a creek deep enough that my stuff floated out of the bed. Had to shut it down and hope the battery had enough to get me out. It made it...
  12. Anyone ever successfully told Sirius to f--- off?

They just need to offer a plan that isn't always a "promotional deal" that you just so happen to qualify for today. If I could just get 4.99/mo forever I would still have it. Having it renew to $27/mo if you don't call in to haggle is stupid. I wish them to go out of business for operating...
  13. Anyone ever successfully told Sirius to f--- off?

I had them for about 10 years and went through that a lot. You left out the part where you have to speak to 4 or 5 different people to get the deal. I have never once got it done with person one or two. I quit because I'm not dealing with that any more. They have the business model of a mail...
  14. Steering Wobble Mystery

I've had issues with my front lower control arm axle side bolts coming loose. They need to be tight. Also had my wheels balanced and some were 4oz off. After checking all front end fasteners and balancing, mine was almost completely gone. Checked alignment and moved to Falcon 2.1 damper and...
  15. To winch or not to winch

Winch. I would still be camping in the truck if I didn't have one. On several unexpected occasions.
  16. Regearing, where does the power come from?

You really shouldn't do that. That's WAY too much gear. I don't know why FS roads would require a regear at all. They are not "geared so wrong" from the factory with stock sized tires. I really mean no offence, but you don't seem super experienced here and I suggest you take advice and do...
  17. It's cold again. Guess who's back? Old St. Death Wobble. (edit-Not true DW, just a big shimmy)

In case it helps anyone, I have been continuing to work on mine. Went in for a road force balance after rotation and air didn't really help. Found all tires were off 4-6oz. I'm back to slight toe in, out from the 5/8 in I originally found, and it is a lot better. Slight shimmy at 60...
  18. It's cold again. Guess who's back? Old St. Death Wobble. (edit-Not true DW, just a big shimmy)

I was able to get mine to calm down 95%. I inflated tires to 30 lbs and I can't tell if there was a slight improvement or if it was in my head. Checked all fasteners and did not find anything that felt out of spec. Ball joints and bushings all felt ok, no excessive play. I measured toe and...
  19. My 2022 Gladiator burned down... how?

Answer in these cases is almost always- Lawyer.
