Well, not all of us live in the USA thankfully. Emission standards are not enforced in Canada as long as you aren't a commercial vehicle, you can run deletes all day long and they won't bother you. I hold no value with the Jeep warranty. I use my Jeep as a Jeep, I fully expect them not to honor...
- Remove all padding from under the hood
- Get proper hood vents (Motobilt makes great ones for the Rubicons, not sure about others)
- Vented fender liners are also great
- If you're not deleted... Bulletproof Diesel makes a really good EGR cooler upgrade EcoDiesel RAM/JEEP 3.0L EGR Cooler...
Running Pennzoil Euro 5w40 euro spec and no issues on mine... I'm also about to be fully deleted. Not quite sure what I'm going to run after deleting it honestly. Need to do more research on that since I don't care about the DPF at that point.
Love the look and quality of the Clayton systems... its a match up between Clayton and Metalcloak for me right now.
I was originally going with Clayton but they quoted me nearly 3x the shipping cost which is odd seeing as I'm in Toronto and they're an 8 hour drive from me, whereas Metalcloak...
Another +1 for Baja Boss if you want to pay the Mickey Thompson brand name tax, they are used by a ton of people for a reason. Falken AT4ws are also extremely good, I love them.
I don't really see the problem with E rated tires personally.... I've run them on all my trucks, keep the pressure...
A good tip for finding a solid dealership if you have an EcoDiesel... find the Dodge/Jeep dealership in your area that all the fleets buy their diesels from. Bonus points if they already sell lifted Jeeps off the lot.
There's one in my area that has been an absolute gem to work with. All the...
I don't know if this applies to the Penstars... @ShadowsPapa may be able to comment on this. There's a transmission harness that gets burned up by the EGR due to poor cabling and tie-downs on the EcoDiesel that causes all sorts of issues, including the ones you mentioned.
I wonder if this is a...
I blame Brennanglad. ?
I've lucked out with my local dealership... I've owned Jeeps since I could drive and always went to the same dealership, they've been stellar to deal with. They know I wheel and I'm fully transparent with them all mods I do to the vehicle, they work with me to warranty...
This is my issue with the Defender... bringing them into Canada is just outrageous. Any of the Defenders you see within Canada for sale are also outrageous, or require a ground up rebuild.
I run Pennzoil Platinum so that's good to hear! I change it at about 7,500km / 5,000 miles.
LOL. I hope he calls them so they can just be like wtf is this man on.
I just dealt with this on my Gladiator when I bought it... it took nearly 2 months for it to be fixed. They put in a ticket on the backend, and it magically showed up in my app probably 1.5 months later.
