  1. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Probably, as Jeep has used lifts to void warranties for years. Only way to tell is to take it in and hope for the best…
  2. Real Badge of Honors

I hit a deer two times in my JK with an aftermarket steel bumper…I had to wash the blood and hair off…no damage
  3. Flat towing Jeep Rubicon

I used this with a Blue Ox on a winter trip across the country to Florida towing our 2014 Rubicon 4 door. Unfortunately, they both bent, so tossed the stock bumper and installed an aftermarket winch bumper with thick D ring tabs., and switched to a Roadmaster tow bar. Since we were traveling...
  4. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Agree, no use for an HOA, which is why I bought enough property that I can’t see my neighbors. My HOA only has two voting members, my wife and I, as the other members, deer, elk, moose, bear, cougars, turkeys, etc are all non-voting members…and meals if times get tough. šŸ˜‰ I think most HOAs...
  5. Flat Towing a Jeep Gladiator with a Factory Rubicon Steel Bumper

Yup, both an auto and manual can be flat towed. Auto = transmission in park, transfer case in neutral Manual = transmission in first, transfer case in neutral. with an Auto, when I disconnect, I have to shift the transmission to neutral, shut off the Jeep, shift the transfer case into 2H...
  6. 21 Gladiator Rubicon stalling issues no codes showing

I may have missed it, but gas are diesel?
  7. Hitch roller (for wheelies)

I built this a few days ago for about $30 in steel and a steel roller with sealed bearing. Just need to test it on some rocks.
  8. O

LOL. We avoid cities of any size when we are on the Harley Softtail…too many drivers who are half way through smoking their joint as they drive along in a daze…
  9. 6 Months In… Getting some poor “support”

At the end of the day, I love my jeeps, both past and current. I’ve just learned that dealers of all kinds, auto, truck, motorcycle, RV…all of them…are about the initial sale, not the service after the sale, so it’s unusual to find a good dealer after the sale…IMHO. As a result, if I have a...
  10. 6 Months In… Getting some poor “support”

I’ve posted this before, but my 2014 Jeep Rubicon had a 1 million mile, zero deductible Jeep factory warranty. I thought I would have that Jeep forever! However, a few years into the warranty, my rear locker failed, so off to the dealer I went to use my 1 million mile warranty at less than...
  11. Flat Towing a Jeep Gladiator with a Factory Rubicon Steel Bumper

Nice write up, this will help folks thinking about towing a Jeep behind a motorhome. I have towed my 4 door Jeep and now my Gladiator behind our Thor Magnitude that has been modified with a lift, 41ā€ tires and all the goodies that go with it for several years with no issues. Like you, I am...
  12. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Used some scrap in the shop to build my own version of a hitch slider. Steel wheel with sealed bearings on a short piece if 2ā€x1/4ā€ wall square tubing. Wheel is about 1.5ā€ below the hitch since the wheel is 3 inches diameter and the center of the pin is at the bottom of the square tubing. Now...
  13. Recommended to Replacing all steering components at once?

When it’s time to replace ball joints, I replace everything…track bar, drag link, tie rod, hubs and ball joints. I also take a look at the ujoints (or the CV) on the axles. I’m new to the CV joint axles, but have found ujoints needing replacement even when they didn’t feel bad. Ball joints...
  14. Towing/transmission question (don't laugh please)

I swapped the gears in a friends Gladiator to 5.38s and he was not as happy as anticipated. Fortunately it only cost him parts since I did the work…and I have a complete set of low mileage 4:10 gears on a shelf in the second floor of the shop in case they are ever needed.
  15. Towing/transmission question (don't laugh please)

DO NOT MAKE THIS CHANGE as it will only result in being dissatisfied with your gear ratio while you watch the transmission shift while towing and result in spending money on a gear change. 🤣🤣 sometimes ignorance is bliss…
  16. why can't we have nice things

Ouch! Nice to hear he took responsibility and left a note…someone raised him right…
  17. Left-Foot Braking And BLD (Brake Lock Differential)

Yes, this is good information for folks wheeling newer rigs. I’ve used the system before on my JK but was a pain to plug in and activate so stopped using it. On my JK, I had well over 120 winch pulls on my Warn 10S and never had an issue with the battery. However, on my old jeeps with a...
  18. Mopar lift question about rear brake lines?

Same here on AEV 2.5ā€, rear brake lines are stretched pretty tight, but I’m prepared if a trail failure occurs. on my JK, I damaged a front brake line wheeling 500 miles from home with nowhere to get parts. I carry a lot of gear for self recovery, so just threaded a screw inside the broken...
  19. Left-Foot Braking And BLD (Brake Lock Differential)

I’ve been wheeling for over 4 decades, and until the advent of electronic throttles, it was two feet/right hand, using the hand throttle attached to the transmission shifter. Built a ton of these over the years using a bicycle gear shifter, and still have one attached to the shifter of my 47...
