  1. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

That’s why I sold my off-road trailer with a RTT…didn’t want to die crawling out at 2 am. With the tent in the bed if the Gladiator, we have a nice step stool with big wide steps to go down when nature calls.
  2. MINIMUM Tools To Have On The Trail

Duct tape to fix things that shouldn’t move, and wd40 to fix things that should move. 😜
  3. Hitch roller (for wheelies)

How did this solution work? I’m intrigued…
  4. No-drill options for motorcycle front wheel chock mounted in bed?

Like you, I switched from big adventure bikes to my KTM 690 after riding my 1090 on the Washington BDR in 2024, as I realized I would not be able to pick up the 1090 by myself on the trail if I went down. I have trail rails, so used a piece of scrap aluminum and created the wheel chock in the...
  5. I DID IT!!!

    ??????
  6. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

I finally grew tired of phones laying on the console and always dropping on the floor, so went in search of a solution. I also wanted my Garmin Zumo XT2 GPS mounted somewhere since I use it and onX while overlanding. unfortunately, systems that mount to the dash are crazy expensive, so I...
  7. A testament to the Dana 44 reliability

after I installed a Hemi and auto in my 40 year old son’s 2007, he installed 37 inch tires, but only had the 30 up front with 5.13 gears (if I remember right). He broke the ring and pinion 2 times on the dirt road to my place during the snow. He’s pretty easy on the throttle, so I surmised...
  8. A testament to the Dana 44 reliability

I’ve wheeled with Trail Traveler in Moab, nice folks. Now that I’m retired, I need to reconnect and do some wheeling with him. I watched the video and the axle didn’t take a hard enough hit to break…and yet it did. No excuse for such poor engineering. on my 2024 Rubicon, it has the factory...
  9. "learning" transmission.

…Or wait until you install an innocuous upgrade and they void your warranty, then never look back and let the modifications begin…
  10. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

I added a 12 volt plug in the bed. I selected 12 volt because the 400 watt 120 volts was not enough to charge my Bluetti power station that I use to run the fridge at night and when we are away from camp while over-landing. I also wired the lights in my chase rack and connected to an open Aux...
  11. Introductions & Welcome Thread šŸ‘‹

Same issue for me. My solution for trips out of town is to drive with my shoes off, much more leg room without shoes.
  12. Thoughts on steering issue

Yes, you are making my point that touching the steering box adjustment is taboo, as sometimes it’s the root cause of a problem. Unfortunately, that’s not generally discussed on steering box threads, which is why I posted my experience. Folks have to decide for themselves if it’s worth the risk...
  13. Replacing Ball-joints Need Guidance

This is an easy job, just take your time, you will be fine…no special tools except the ball joint kit. If I remember correctly, you will need a 9/16 12-point socket to remove the three bolts holding the hub in the knuckle.
  14. 1.5" Teraflex Leveling Kit w/ Rubicon Takeoffs

I have a 2024 Rubicon, and installed the 2.5 AEV spring lift right after taking delivery. I also installed 3/4ā€ spacers in the front to help level the rig, and would do it again. Even with almost 1000 pounds in the bed, it levels out well. AEV counseled against using the spacer, but IMHO, it...
  15. Thoughts on steering issue

I had a rock krawler system on my 2014 JK Rubicon, had the exact issue, and chased everything in the front end. Aftermarket wheels, new tires, rebuilt the entire front end, multiple alignments by different shops, all new steering, FOX steering stabilizer, but nothing solved my wandering...
  16. Gladiator Expedition Rigs

I use air pressure connected to a regulator so I can control pressure in the lines and open all the sinks until all liquid is out. you might have to install a T and a shut off valve depending upon how your system is designed. For the drains, I just dump a liberal amount of RV antifreeze down...
  17. Someone help me understand! Market adjustment?

LOL, in January, I paid $45k plus tax for a 2024 Rubicon with almost every option, and had them ship it home since we were on our annual winter trip. I paid cash and knew which unit I wanted before I went to the dealer by looking at dealer websites. Sold my 2014 JK when I returned home and...
  18. Thinking About Buying A Jeep Gladiator

Jeep…because life is too short to drive boring rigs. Same reason I have a corvette, a Harley and my 47 cj2a truck conversion. most folks won’t understand, which is why they make minivans…
  19. Thinking About Buying A Jeep Gladiator

    I use them for napkins…ONLY NAPKINS. ;)
  20. Thinking About Buying A Jeep Gladiator

This statement confuses me. In the picture, I have a KTM 890, KTM 690, all of our camping gear for the Utah BDR and two adults in a 2024 Gladiator Rubicon, 2.5 inch lift, 37 inch tires, AT and the stock 4.10 gears, and maintaining 80 mph wasn’t a problem. I didn’t spend much time in 7th or 8th...
