Interesting! I had never heard of this route.

I’ve been watching a guy on YouTube by the name of Kenny of all trades who in in MN and goes truck camping every weekend. It has me interested in making a trip up North and this might be a good route to get up there.

Take plenty of pictures and bonus points for any fish you catch!

Well, looks like my camper's little water pump gave out. I didn't winterize it, and it shot craps.

It runs off my power supply and has a built in pressure switch, so all you do is turn on the faucet and the pump kicks in. It's really simple and nice.

I'm looking for any tricks to use this in the winter. Is there some way I can plumb it or a simple/fast way to winterize it, so I can still use the water pump in the winter? I park my truck outside, so any water in the pump will freeze and damage it.

I use air pressure connected to a regulator so I can control pressure in the lines and open all the sinks until all liquid is out. you might have to install a T and a shut off valve depending upon how your system is designed.

For the drains, I just dump a liberal amount of RV antifreeze down each sink.

Temps go negative if we leave late on our winter trip south, so I winterize just in case. The ice maker in the fridge is the biggest pain, as I have to leave the air connected for a day so the system can cycle a few times.

I’ll probably do about 700 miles of the Great River Road from St.Louis to Minneapolis in a few weeks. I especially like taking the private ferries back and forth across the Mississippi. USA Today voted it the best scenic drive.

Wow, it was a sauna last night with 95 degrees and high humidity. I ran the trucks A/C a couple times to cool off the camper. Nice having the interior open to the cab’s A/C.

Well my sway bar just disconnected unintentionally. I looked and a bolt either broke off or it loosened up and fell off.

I had my shop check out everything and retorque all the suspension components. We found the drag link ends were almost shot, so I upgraded to a heavy duly Terraflex Drag Link.

Those big heavy tires are hard on suspension components.

The shiny part is the new drag link, and it connects to the steering box.

Drove the Great River Road with a few hundred other Jeeps to Grafton Illinois for "Cassen's River Run" today. Also took the Brussels Ferry and the Golden Eagle Ferries across the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers.

A fun day was had by all!

Quick fix - Speaker rattling

I thought I had blown a speaker in my overhead sound bar. Luckily I unscrewed the cover and noticed that one of the speakers was loose. A little bit of tightening and all was fixed. This seams to be a common problem with the overhead speakers.

@Mules being that you're from MO, are you attending Overland of America? I'd love to see your truck in person if you are.

Another successful Deer Season in Missouri. Forget about grass feed beef, my family eats venison year round. You can't get more organic than this.

I couldn't fit the buck inside my Jeep, so I put him on the tailgate. You can set the Gladiator's tailgate at a 45 degree angle, which makes a nice deer carrier, if the bed if full.
