We'll see who is ultimately correct...may not be in the first year but I guarantee there will be an extended cab by the third year of production. It would be stupid and a waste of the investment in a whole new chassis and configuration to make only one variation. We'll see who is right....
I really hope they broaden the appeal of this vehicle and maximize the return on the investment in this entirely new chassis and drive train. What I am saying is:
OFFER AN EXTENDED CAB! Not just a crew cab.
I still say for those of us who prefer using the space that the wheelbase provides for the truck bed as opposed to the space needed for a crew cab at least build an extended cab. I have an extended cab now and 95% of the time it is me alone in the truck or my wife and I. I use the longer length...
Yeah nice article from 2013 - 5 years later extended cabs and regular cabs are still being built - including the latest models of the mid sized Canyons, Colorados and Tacomas. I have a 2015 Ram Quad cab and love it. Ram (another FCA product) just expanded the Rebel this year with new model year...

I agree I think the model offering will track with the JL - this just makes sense for many reasons. I really hope they make a 2 door version and/or extended cab version with a longer bed option.I would buy a 2 door in an instant...
I have been waiting for this pickup to go into production since 2005 when the Gladiator concept vehicle rolled out on to the stage in Detroit. Now it's finally here but I have one question that I hope someone in the forum can answer:
Will there be differing cab configurations? Extended cab...
