What system do you have? Is it the premium Alpine (or whatever they call it) or standard? If it's standard the head unit may not have enough umph to push your aftermarket speakers. Or if it is the Alpine the resistance for that Alpine system is rated for 3 ohms. I believe most aftermarket...
Yes, but it's still painted, dipped I believe, still should be the same color. Mine are on stock aluminum wheels. Just doesn't have clear coat on the inside.
Did it really fade? Easy way to tell is to take the wheel off and see what the color is on the inside of the wheel. It should be black as midnight if the outside faded.
You're probably right. I mean automotive companies never engineer anything to ensure a vast majority need to take it in to have maintenance done on it.
Geez, now why would a company engineer a product that would guarantee a larger majority of its customers rely on it for overpriced maintenance on that product? 🤔
I"ve had my Softopper for almost 2 years now. Love it. I like the screen windows a lot better than the plastic windows. They don't get all scuffed up and you can see a lot better out the back with the screens.
Anyways. 25 years? That's a big deal. But since I have been running one of these...
The rep for Oracle must have been observing this thread. They got a hold of me and are going to offer a new Trigger for the same price I bought the first one at.
On the flip side the plastic rear bumper can take a beating. My wife backed mine into my neighbor's '66 Chevy 1/2 ton. Smashed his headlight and just put a couple scuffs on my bumper.
I think Oracle bought out Trigger. When you go to the Trigger website it directs you to Oracle customer service. It sucks. More than likely it was my fault it fried. I probably crossed wires when unhooking? Don't remember doing that, but why else would it cook the wiring? Just gonna have to be...
These are some great options. Thanks fellas. I think I'm going to stick to the Trigger. Wiring/harnesses are already in place. It's an easy swap. That alone is worth a little extra.
I've had a Trigger 4 Plus since March, 2021. Worked great...until...I disconnected it so I could install a new battery. Hooked it back up and it stays in the on position and am unable to turn it off. Been corresponding back and forth with Oracle Lighting customer service and they've determined...
I'm changing both batteries. Is there a specific order in installing? Should I install aux first? Or does it really matter? And yes @ShadowsPapa I've charged both batteries before installing 😏
I just got 21 mpg on a 300-mile road trip with hills, curves, towns, and everything inbetween. I'm running 34" ATs. Keep in mind I have a pretty bare bones Sport S model. AC and power windows are the technological highlight of it all. I'm not disappointed one little bit.
