You have to unbolt the cross over at the junctions on either side of the pan and loosen it a bit. You don't have to take it apart. If you have a diesel the exhaust runs along the side of the pan and don't have to touch the exhaust.
I was running in the 210-220s before I installed the PPE. I have not been over 200 since. Mostly in the 180s.
For some context. I think my winch impedes airflow to the front grill enough. Also I live where there are a lot of long, steep grades so rpms are always running high.
IMO off topic threads ruin message boards. They always turn political and while I fall pretty hard to one side of the political spectrum I generally like most people and would like to keep it that way by not knowing who they are going to vote for in this fall's school board elections.

As far as full electric...Fix the issue of only being able to drive 300 miles or so on a charge and not take 20-30 minutes to charge it and it would peak my interest more as a viable option. Then cut the BS of we're saving the planet by driving these things out of the equation and I think a lot...
I put the same kit on. Started doing it myself then realized that it wasn't that difficult but doing that type of job on the driveway concrete just isn't my thing anymore. I forgot what I paid but I think it might of been half that 5 years ago. I'd pay $700 though if I couldn't find anyone to do...
I just meant that it can act like both. If you add water to a base it acts like an acid in that it brings the pH down and if you add it to an acid it acts like a base and brings the pH up. Don't really know why I added that to my first post...
I know it will hold up to water just not sure how...
I've always wondered if it shortens the life of the starter. That is if the starter's life is directly proportional to number of starts before breaking down.
An instructional video I watched before doing mine was on a 22 diesel that had a plastic pan.
Having that drain plug in the PPE makes it worth every penny. PPE recommends changing the filter out every 100-120k. So not doing pan drops every 40k is saving me the agony of laying on the garage...
I actually don't mind it but I've disabled it because I hate pulling in to a parking spot and instance before I put it in park the engine shuts off and turns back on again after putting in park and releasing the brake.
I just did this about a month ago. I've noticed lower temps. Tranny fluid temp was consistently 200+ before the PPE pan. Since, it hasn't gone above 190.
This is getting me thinkin'...
Part of the problem is that water has a chance to pool at the top of the window. Water can act like an acid or a base, so eventually, like plumbers putty, the sealant for these windows is going to spring a leak at some point.
I've built a couple aquariums in my...
Go to a different dealer. My rear window leaked after the "12 months?" and it was replaced under warranty. Now I have a long documented bitch session on this forum that went along with this issue that I don't care to rehash here, but it was warrantied after 12 months.
I don't know if it's changed from 2020, but all factory, non-alpine speakers are 4 ohms. I though the Alpine speakers were 3 ohms (could be wrong on this). But like mentioned above, install an amp or else you just have a crappy stereo pushing good speakers. IMO all pieces need to be replaced and...
