  1. From Taco to JTR and 40s!

What cap is that? I see photos with your Gladiator with and without it. I've been toying with the idea of something easily to remove. Edit: I found the logo of it on one of your photos. It appears to be this bad boy. https://gofastcampers.com/pages/platform-camper-2022 How do you like it...
  2. If money wasn't an issue

I'd do a full size truck and a Wrangler. The Gladiator does everything well enough, but not amazing. Its also nice to be able to wheel a vehicle hard and if you break something, you're not stranded. You can trailer it home.
  3. Where did you WHEEL your Gladiator today?

Just show up. You sign in and pay at the front. They will give you a map if you request one. They even have a lodge with snacks, and food trucks. If you haven't already got quick sway disconnects. I'd highly recommend it. It'll make your Jeep MUCH more capable on uneven terrain.
  4. Where did you WHEEL your Gladiator today?

At Hidden Falls? Totally. It has a ton of different trails within the park. Even if you wanted to tackle lets say a level 3 trail. There's almost always bypasses near the more advanced spots.
  5. Texas Check In

Which deal did you order from? I know the fleet manager at NW Dodge, and South Fork has a good relationship with customers.
  6. Texas Check In

My honest opinion is I probably wouldn't get a Gladiator again. It does everything, but just ok out of the box. Ok on the road, decent off road. It has a (modern) Jeep fun factor though. I also hate the steering box. You'll likely have the new steel one with less problems. If you do any...

    Sweet Jeeps, Sweet House!
  8. Where did you WHEEL your Gladiator today?

I'm planning on going there in about a month or so if you want to tag along with a smaller group.
  9. Texas Check In

We might do marble falls or barnwell next month if anyone is interested.
  10. Texas Check In

I wouldn't have been as upset with messing up the pinion yoke if it didn't happen on a.more basic green or blue trail. We were waiting for our group and I was just messing around a bit. I didn't see a big lump in the rock. Once I hear it I knew bit wasn't in good to be great. I would not...
  11. Texas Check In

Here are a few from Wolf caves. I included a couple photos of my pinion yoke and drive shaft damage. The yoke has a crack in it.
  12. Where did you WHEEL your Gladiator today?

Here's a few from Wolf caves in Texas.
  13. Texas Check In

I think you mean off the road. ;)
  14. Texas Check In

I'll be at Wolfcaves on New Years Day. Feel free to tag along with our group if you'd like!
  15. If you had $1500 to spend on your Jeep today....

Yeah the problem is that bracket gets mangled after a few rock gashes. If it bends, you can throw off your alignment, and need a new bracket re-welded.
  16. If you had $1500 to spend on your Jeep today....

The autoLYNX is a great price and good innovation. If I had a non-Rubicon I'd totally buy those... I take that back. I have had issues with my electric disconnect lol, maybe something like this is in the future.
  17. If you had $1500 to spend on your Jeep today....

I've got a few total is under $1500 but one of the most used items. - A good air compressor - MorrFlate tire inflator/deflator https://morrflate.com/product-category/morrflate-multi-tire-air-kits/ - SkidMark 4x4 hitch skid plate https://www.skidmark4x4.com/ - Rusty's lower control arm frame skid...
  18. Offroading in Houston

I'd say about half the trails are level 1 and 2's which most regular SUVs could complete. We only had level 3 and 4's on the video and often the more tough lines were chosen. A good example would be Wet & Wild. -- That was a trail where you see the 2 door JK sort of spinning its tires. I...
  19. Offroading in Houston

Yeah Spring Creek Off road like 10 years ago. They ended up building a subdivision and walking/biking trails around it.
  20. Offroading in Houston

I'm in North West Houston. Hidden Falls is a bit over 3 hours away. Its the closest public off road park that isn't a mud park. There used to be a place closer called Brazos Valley off road, but its not open to the public anymore afiak. Next closest would be Barnwell, and then Wolfcaves etc...
