I've got 8000 miles on mine. Fronts seem to be a hair over 37.5. Rear a tad more. Unused spare seems to be around 38.5ish. This was all done with a super accurate paper towel roll and highly accurate tape measure from harbor freight. :)
I haven't posted in a while. I've done a couple of smaller upgrades since the original build. Due to the wheel base and the rear lower control arms (frame side) hanging down, it became very apparent they needed skid plates.
I also purchased a hitch skid plate which has been very well used on...
I apologize. The rear is Fox / BDS valving part number 98224959
It's exactly 28inches extended, same as the Rocksport.
And yes, the front is 985-24-181 which is like 0.05 inches longer extended than the rock sport
I had those original parts in a list when I was specing things out.
Yeah I saw the side view and noticed you didn't have the rear lower frame mounts hanging way down. They're in an absolutely terrible location for trail use. I dig it!
I had TJ control arms when I was in Ontario years ago. Over a couple of years the only rust was where they were scratched and little rust pits where likely crap from the roads flung up. Nothing like some after market control arms where they're totally rusted after a couple of winters
I don't tow, and Iive in Houston where it's super flat.
The wider and heavier tires have a bit more rolling resistance. 5.13 is optimal for 37s imo. 5.38 is barely enough for 40s to keep it in 8th gear.
I'm running a 3.5inch MetalCloak lift. On the rear I only needed to use 2 of the provided bump stop extensions. The front I have 3. If I were to remove the inner liner etc.. I could run 2 on the front easily.
