    AMW swaps are expected to be legal on the 12th of Never. A JT with and engine swap registered in another state is also not legal in California. It would be easier to get a Wrangler 392 and put a JT bed on it. Smog tests are not required for the first 7 years so just buy a new JT and don't worry...

    It appears that ride is very subjective. I have done all that I am going to do to my JT suspension. I guess it rides better than I think.

    The difference between the JT and JL rear suspension makes the JL ride much better. Has anyone ever fixed the JT rear bob . As I see it the JT is just a bad design.

    SD is not the problem, they'll gladly take your money. The problem is California as that is where you actually live and drive the vehicle. Licence plate readers at the border tell them everything along with your cell phone records.

    Just a few places to go in California. Rubicon trail, Glamis sand dunes, King of the hammers and the desert area, Anza Barrago, Death Valley, Duzy Ershim trail, Mojave Road. I have done all of these. We have many of the off road mfg companies. I'll skip the bad stuff.

Basically it can be done but it's very hard to do do to regulations . An AMW won't pass due to no Vin #s. For now, all AMW swaps have to be registered out...

    With all my mods I just fear what a trailer load would be like . Not a fan of 5000 RPMs . But a small self contained TT does sound like fun.

    The dealer can send a OTA to your JT that will put it in limp mode and cancel your warranty if the oil sensors detect 5-30.

    I went to Easter Jeep safari this year . Last year was the Nor Cal BDR. Anza Barrago , Death Valley, East Sierra, all trips have been great.
  14. If you had to start your build over, what's the first mod you'd grab?

    It's on its 3rd set of shocks and springs. All done by myself in my garage. A fun learning experience. Mine is modded way more than I need. I could have done nothing and just bought a Bronco for a better ride. But now I am married to this thing.

    I use Torco everywhere I can because it's hard to find and costs more and it makes me feel good. Walmart oil would probably work just as good.
