  1. Let's see what a stock Gladiator is capable ...

Tomorrow morning we (wife, dog and myself) are heading to Italy to participate this event. I am curious how the total stock Gladiator Overland is going ...
  2. O

Can't remember that I gave you the permission to take a photo in my living room.
  3. Hood Locks. - Easy Install

They are looking not bad. But I am not sure if they really make sense, at least for me. If the car is locked and someone tries to open the hood the alarm is setting off. And if the thief is bold enough to continue after the alarm started he would also break the lock to achieve his goal. Maybe...
  4. Gladiator is crap for towing

Not sure if this question already has been asked during this conversation. Did the OP already conduct an oil change on the gearbox?
  5. Gladiator is crap for towing

Maybe I wrote this already 10 times. I am extremely satisfied with the towing capacity of my Gladiator (without max tow package).
  6. bye bye 392?

    Very sad! :crying:
  7. My DIY bed cap

    That looks fantastic!
  8. am I doing something wrong in snow/ice Winter driving?

Driving onroad with slippery conditions I always use 4H auto which is apart from better traction and slightly lower mpg no difference to 2H.
  9. short trips with ecodiesel

If I would do only short trips like 10 miles and below I would never ever buy a Diesel. At least here in Germany the most frequent problems with the Gladiator are issues with regeneration and DPF due to too much short distance driving. I have not seen any regeneration message within 9k miles...
  10. In Praise of Gladiator Comfort

And the RAM is a Diesel. With the JTD you are getting easily 26-29 mpg on the highway.
  11. Am I crazy to buy a Gladiator EcoD to tow my Travel Trailer?

My JTD is towing 4600 lbs with low drag at 65 mph and 20,5 mpg. And 5100 lbs with high drag at 65 mph and 18 mpg In both cases temperatures stay well within the limits and the truck is towing effortlessly.
  12. America's Nasty Diesel Fuel Keeps Ruining Bosch Fuel Pumps

Does that mean that I don't have to worry about my fuel pump?
  13. PSA: just because you can, doesnt mean you should...

I have the feeling that 48K USD is a little bit too much for a 21 (Sport?) with 26 k miles and some additional decals ...
  14. Pretty in Pink?

Looks a little bit like the TJ Twister. Which, apart from the grill cover, I quite like nowadays.
  15. New Oil Filter option for Diesel’s

That's my feeling, too. I just ordered a pair of non OEM filters, slightly more expensive than on Amazon, and they look very similiar to the OEM ones. But I am still not brave enough to test if they are really same, maybe after the next 3 oil changes. I ordered also some (relatively) cheap...
  16. Real world MPG, what are you getting in your Diesel?

Starting the car in general only for distances above 20 miles (mostly above 100 miles) I am getting between 26 to 30 mpg at speeds between 65 and 75 mph. Completely stock overland trim.
  17. Vs. 2024 ZR2... (Edit- Test Driven, opinions inside)

Don't understand the intention of this thread. Similiar to the "Good by, I have to leave" threads ...
  18. In Praise of Gladiator Comfort

Wife, dog and myself love the ride in the Gladiator. 1500 miles roadtrip through France last summer was fantastic. OK, Gladiator is the replacement for a Lada 4x4 ... ;)
  19. Undecided

Same opinion as @azmojave and I am very happy with my Overland. Brought me so far everywhere I want.
  20. Do you guys carry dogs in the truck bed?

I have bought a dog bed which is fixed via ISOFIX to the back seat. This gives here stability on bending roads. The dog is wearing a harness which is attached to the seat belt. This hold her back during accidents.
