  1. Carrier Bearing Spacer?

I have the same lift but replaced the rear springs with Dobinson extra heavy duty 3" springs. I've ran it for a while before installing the spacer from Rockjock. Don't think it makes much of a difference other than peace of mind. Doesn't look too bad after it settles. But I figured it's...
  2. Any reason not to install nutserts in bed floor?

I've got m8 stainless steel rivnuts holding down a fridge/kitchen slide for the last few years. I actually ripped out one of the M8 accidentally with the rivnut tool. Just didn't know how hard I was supposed to press that nut with the tool. I just replace it with an M10.
  3. We’re screwed! [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS. MEMBERS BANNED]

Paid $70k otd beginning of 2021. Actually made the deposit towards the end of 2020 to get it early 2021. Remember, that was peak pricing time vs current pricing, which is at the opposite end of the spectrum. I would like to think that most of us that bought trucks during this time would have...
  4. I've lived too long with 37's and the 4.10 gears in my Rubicon.

5.13 is the way to go. Sometimes I feel like 5.38 would be better when I'm going up the mountain, and I'm on 37s. I do have a heavy build though; also pull a light weight offroad trailer sometimes. But i do think 5.13 is probably a better all arounder for 37/38.
  5. 5.13 Gears, My Thoughts and Real Numbers

    I would leave it well.enough. I'm on 37s, 2.5" lift and get 12.5mpg with 5.13s.
  6. Indecisive on Overland Setup

My vote is for the alucab canopy as well. You seem to be heading that direction anyway. It provides not just rain cover but also security. You can access the interior of the bed via side doors. Its got a 300lb dynamic load and 600lb static or there about means you can mount a lot of stuff on...
  7. Are You a Cat Person or a Dog Person?

Not a cat guy. Prefer dogs. But now have 7 cats. First set of litters was left in my back yard so I had to take them in. Ended up with 2 with that set. Recently had a kitten ( so I thought), moved in on her own. Turns out she was pregnant and just had a litter of 4 the other day. I need...
  8. Jeep Chrome Side Steps Running Boards, worth Anything?

I couldn't even give my stock rubicon sliders away lol. Left it in front of the house for someone to pick up for scrap. Someone actually wanted me to deliver it to him, for free lol.
  9. Hauk River Raider Snorkel

I'd be interested in buying that from ya if it's for a gas motor.
  10. Pitman arm nut seized!

Then we wouldn't have 5 pages of comments. What the hell am I supposed to do at the office?
  11. I'm joining the "aux battery won't charge" club. Should I just delete it?

Bypassed the aux battery about a year ago and have had no problem. Knock on wood. Start stop still works and is still annoying. Aux switches are working as the should. Will probably plug the mini jl tazer back in to turn off ESS.
  12. Kitchen slideout in bed

Here's a cool one from ARB. If I were get a new kitchen slide, this would probably be it. The other one like the pull kitchen is way too much money for a kitchen slide. https://www.quadratec.com/p/arb/slide-out-camp-kitchen/1355mm-rdkna1355
  13. Kitchen slideout in bed

I've been running the pull out kitchen and awning for a couple of years now. It works pretty well for the most part. The awning wall is not quick to put up. I don't actually use it much. It's not good for very windy condition. I've had the awning out in 15+ mph wind, legs out and tied down...
  14. Kitchen slideout in bed

Great choice on the Tune Outdoor camper. I've been looking at that one as well. It provides more space than any of the others. The problem with these pullout kitchen is you loose access to your kitchen while in the camper. I'd want to have use of the kitchen in the camper in case of...
  15. Fridge in the bed or the cab ?

Here's another vote for rivnuts. Been in there since '21 and no problem. Did make a base plate for the bed out of 3/4 birch to mount a drawer slide on and got longer bolts to mount the fridge/kitchen slide over the base plate.
  16. Care to help diagnose my death wobble?

You still on the same set of tires? I think it's time to try a new set, assuming you're at about 60k miles now. That's a lot of miles on off road tires.
  17. Kia Tasman what do you guys think?

It's ugly but i'm always glad for more competition. Doubt it'll make it to the US especially with the tariff though. Hopefully it's priced well and be competitive with a frontier/pro4x, it'll sell.
