  1. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Spent a couple days exploring Papoose Flats and Mazourka Canyon in the Inyo National Forest.
  2. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Installed @ThinSkinz door protectors as part of making the back of the cab dedicated to my dog (and fridge, at times). Kudos to them for super fast shipping, and a very well packaged product. Recommend this for anyone with a four legged friend, and wish I’d purchased it sooner.
  3. “Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon”

For me, it was the Z case fuse array that blew due to an unknown short in the system. We know the “what”, what they dealership wasn’t able to tell me was the “why.” I now carry an additional fuse array with me, but still doesn’t instill a lot of confidence. I wish I knew why this happened...
  4. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Installed the Quadratec 12V power adapter allowing me to finally hardwire my Midland MXT275. Then added a CMM Off-road ball to the grab bar to which I attached a 67 Designs nano arm and Mag Mount. Combined with a 1 ft Lightning cable, this cleans up the mess of wires and not having to have that...
  5. Recurring catastrophic electrical malfunctioning

I experienced this exact same thing on Mother’s Day. I was fortunate to get off the highway before it completely died. Towed to dealer, and they replaced the Fuse Array. I asked what caused that fuse to blow, and they simply said they don’t know. This too was my third electrical gremlin issue...
  6. Front Runner Extreme Roof Rack & Smittybilt RTT

Do you have a link to the replacement antennas you can share please? I’m noticing the same loss of signal after installing my Rhino Rack platform.
  7. What do u have coming in the mail?

Goose Gear 60% seat delete that basically removes what backseats are left. I’d rather my 80lb Australian Cattle Dog and Lab mix have more space than make room for coworkers who always want me to drive to lunch because they want to ride in what they call a “Jurassic Park rig.”
  8. Winch or lift?

I vote winch, and save for the lift. Until then, limit which trails you explore until you’re able to get that and larger tires.
  9. Death Valley trip ..where should I go?

I would recommend the Pleasant Canyon/South Park loop. This provides a high elevation option for camping, and has lots of old mines and cabins to explore. You can also use the latter for camping if you chose. Note that this loop includes Chicken Rock, so a good spotter is recommended. I did this...
  10. “Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon”

Will do. I’m currently awaiting their return call with an initial diagnosis. My JT has never been exposed to any deep water (beyond a normal puddle in the road), and this occurred during a light rain. I’m concerned that the dealer may deny a warranty claim similar to what the OP went through...
  11. “Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon”

Just had this happen to me yesterday, and my JT is now at a dealership to be diagnosed. Fingers are crossed that I have the same positive outcome the OP did.
  12. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Spent a couple days exploring Kofa Wilderness in AZ.
  13. SHOW ME YOUR WHEELS!

Here ya go. The first pic is just after I installed the Mopar 2” lift, and after wheeling in Joshua Tree. Second pic is to show how much poke there is.
  14. SHOW ME YOUR WHEELS!

Black Rhino Solids in matte gun black with BFG KO2’s in 315/70/17
  15. What tall skinny tires are out there?

Where did you find them? I couldn’t locate these tires in this size anywhere.
  16. Any ideas for Anza Borrego?

Also, Diablo Drop Off isn’t as bad as it sounds. Pick a good line, then throw it in 4 Low and 1st, and crawl down.
  17. Any ideas for Anza Borrego?

One of the great things for me about Anza Borrego is dispersed camping. Unless you and/or your wife need access to toilets and other basics, I would recommend looking to camping in Hawk Canyon or many other areas in the park. A common quick thing for me is starting the trail by the entrance to...
  18. Check Your Cabin Air Filter!

The first time I changed my cabin air filter was after a Death Valley trip. I immediately ordered a snorkel (aka, desert air intake) with precleaner for the same rationale as you posted. I check that regularly as well now as I’m a desert dweller who wheels often and in convoys.
  19. Rugged Ridge DRL Chop Brackets for the Sport S

How was the install? Did you remove the entire fender, or were you able to do this without that step?
