Hi,
I've seen comments about regearing from 3.73 to 4.10 -- I recently changed my tires on my Sport S to 285/70/17. The main purpose of my vehicle is an overland/camping vehicle along with my every day driver in the city, which is minimal as I work @ home.
Should I re-gear? Why or why not...
This is our second 'true' Jeep, the previous was a Jeep Unlimited with a (modern) Cherokee thrown in for good measure too.
My wife and I are in our early 30's.
I have Sport S w/ Trailer/Tow package (Not max tow).
I have a large RTT, bed rack, fridge, bigger tires, 2 adults + 2 kids + gear / food and I am few hundred under max payload. MPG sucks ass, but this way my Jeep goes back into it's natural habitat often, the gas station.
Yup, they did exactly that - they took it for a drive or two and identified two whistles. One, they fixed, the other was my bedrock, which I have since fixed. The issue with mine was the seal.
In the end, I don't care, it's fixed, and that is what I care about.
The front driver’s side had quite the whistle, I simply brought it to the dealer and had them fix it - they ended up resealing the entire window.
I know some folks are adverse to taking vehicles back to the dealer, but I didn’t spend $50k on a vehicle and not have it ‘work’ right.
I was nearly dead-set on the Cascadia 4x4 solution (regular hood, 80watts) but then I sat back and realized that mounting it to my vehicle would not benefit us much, simply due to where we live. We live in Wisconsin and mainly camp in the upper-midwest, which has a plethora of trees. We...
Yup, I think I have settled on the following panel setup; https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PQBMBTX/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=A29LE5KYGBHS77&psc=1
Hi,
My goal is to setup a solar panel to help run a mini fridge. The fridge I am looking at purchasing is 45 watts - I am hoping I can run a 50 watt solar panel to help keep my car battery near topped off - I am a bit new to electrical, so I am learning as I go and I am not sure 50 is enough...
yeah I really don’t get the hate - they‘re unique, they’re expensive, but then why the hell did you buy a Gladiator when a Colorado or Ranger or Tacoma are cheaper? Jeep is a ‘lifestyle’ brand. A RTT is a ‘lifestyle’ tent. Haters gonna hate I guess...
I am new to the RTT world (this fall was our first time) but I wanted one because I think it's cool and a fun conversation starter. That's it really...Obviously other benefits are there such as;
No flooding
More comfortable
I don't need to pack a tent anywhere, it's on my Jeep, leaving more...
