  1. Snazzberry Gladiator JT club

Not cheap, but the Mopar Performance Rails have that look, but are wide enough to be a step. My 5' 2" wife uses em every day.
  2. Snazzberry Gladiator JT club

Yes...SHE takes it seriously...me, not so much. But I like that she was thrilled to get the JTR in Snazzberry.
  3. Snazzberry Gladiator JT club

These two girls definitely enjoy it :-)
  4. Snazzberry Gladiator JT club

I wasn't sure that I was going to like the Snazzberry when trading in our Billet Silver Overland for a JTR, but made the call for my wife and the color is really growing on me. Up for next week is the 3.5" lift and 37's to be ready for our trips to Rausch Creek.
  5. Building up a 3.5" lift with Teraflex components for JTR?

There are a couple great Jeep shops in MD that are both recommending a custom build 3.5" lift for my new JTR using components from Teraflex (3.5" base spring kit + Alpine IR short control arms, bump stops, etc) but I'm curious is anyone out there is wheeling something like this? If so, are...
  6. Snazzberry Gladiator JT club

That’s exactly my fear...at times it seems like it works...other times I’m just not as sure...
  7. Buying JTR - Spend the $ on a diesel or to regear a 3.6 for 37's?

I appreciate all the feedback. Pulling the trigger on the JTR with the 3.6l with the Select-trac full time 4WD that is not available on the diesel. Love the idea of all that low RPM torque on the diesel, but just too many little factors that push me to stick with the gas engine. Will have...
  8. Buying JTR - Spend the $ on a diesel or to regear a 3.6 for 37's?

Nope, that’s on me. I thought 4.10’s were std on all Rubicon’s, but clearly missed the fine print on that one.
  9. Buying JTR - Spend the $ on a diesel or to regear a 3.6 for 37's?

Thanks Jim, I’ll reach out and see what he can share. The diesel’s flat torque band you mentioned is one of the primary features that has me thinking about it for our off-roading. We’ll keep an eye on things and upgrade to alloy axles later if needed, but I’m hoping that doesn’t prove necessary.
  10. Buying JTR - Spend the $ on a diesel or to regear a 3.6 for 37's?

I’m asking the dealer that’s been helping us to confirm if their work would be covered by the warranty if I have them do the regear as part of the purchase. I’ll post the answer when they respond.
  11. Buying JTR - Spend the $ on a diesel or to regear a 3.6 for 37's?

I appreciate people taking the time to try to help. My question was specific to exactly what I need to know to make my decision between the two options - “can a JTR diesel support towing small camping trailers with 37’s without a regear” because while I would like to have the extra diesel...
  12. Buying JTR - Spend the $ on a diesel or to regear a 3.6 for 37's?

We did test drive a Wrangler diesel and a Gladiator diesel, but haven’t found one locally yet with 37’s on the stock 4.10’s to try. We’re reaching out through the local Gladiators club to see if any of the members have one they would let us test out. The majority of our miles would be well...
  13. Buying JTR - Spend the $ on a diesel or to regear a 3.6 for 37's?

Outside of the fascinating exchange on who know more about the merits of diesel vs gasoline, whether it stinks or which is harder on the environment, just curious if anyone had any experience to share with the ability of the JTR diesel- with all its extra torque - to perform well enough with...
  14. Buying JTR - Spend the $ on a diesel or to regear a 3.6 for 37's?

I would put the extra money into the diesel instead of a regear for sure if I knew that it would perform well with the stock 4.10s on 37's, I'm just afraid that I'll get it and then find that I still need the regear going up that big on tires. I'll take your advice and see if I can find someone...
  15. Buying JTR - Spend the $ on a diesel or to regear a 3.6 for 37's?

That's helpful information Eddie, I wasn't aware of that factor. I work from home most of the time so the truck will see 10 to 15 minute drives into the city for errands or weekend trips to PA or VA to go rock crawl. I'm not at all worried about there being a smell with modern diesels, and...
  16. Buying JTR - Spend the $ on a diesel or to regear a 3.6 for 37's?

We're selling our Overland and starting over on a JTR. Are we better off spending our available budget on a diesel or a 3.6 8speed that we regear to 4.88's to handle 37’s on both moderately challenging rock crawling and for towing a small camper (not at the same time if things go right)? It...
  17. Maryland WTB - Looking for stock OEM rear bumper

I'm trading in my Overland for a Rubicon Gladiator and need a stock bumper with holes for backup sensors to replace my Motobilt. Anybody looking to clear out their garage and can give a good price?
  18. Is a 3” lift with 37’s going to be too much for stock Overland?

I was actually looking this morning at Rubicon’s in the area based on the feedback so far. Sounds like I needed to have started with that platform to get where I want to go.
  19. Is a 3” lift with 37’s going to be too much for stock Overland?

I appreciate everybody’s advice, sounds like we’ll need to build in the budget to either re-gear or possibly install some Rubicon take-off axels and get lockers while we’re add it. While I don’t put tons of daily miles on her, I can’t go down to 14 mpg over the long haul. The MetalCloak Game...
  20. Is a 3” lift with 37’s going to be too much for stock Overland?

I’m leaning heavily towards replacing my 2.5” Skyjacker leveling lift with a 3” lift and Fox or Falcon shocks, and replacing my 315 Nitto Rigge Grapplers with 37” Nitto Trail Grapplers or Cooper STT’s. Looking to get more clearance for blue and black trails, and get rid of some of the excess...
