So today just after we left for the trail, our Gladiator’s climate control jumped to 76 degrees on both sides and froze out all other climate control functions. The on-screen slider function on the Climate page will let you reset the temp, but it flips back to 76 a second later. No other...
Just finished installing the Motobilt Crusher last night and am super impressed. Straight forward install, good installation instructions on their site and Northern 4x4 has a great video as well. The optional side mount brackets make this thing ready for anything, but I like that they give you...
I’ve been using the Teraflex sway bar disconnects for the past 6 months and am happy with them. No cutting, and they provide a bracket for holding the sway bar links up out of the way.
Steps are scratched as shown in photos, but not bent or bowed, the brackets all hold firm, even the one that’s a bit bent up holds fine. All the original mounting hardware is included.
Turns out the stock Overland Running boards suck as rock rails, so I've replaced mine with actual rock rails. The stock running boards are fully functional, but as the photos illustrate, they're not pristine. If you're building a serious off-road machine, or are highly concerned about the...
I’m not claiming that they’ll compete strength wise with something like a Frame mounted Shrockworks, but the tubing is just shy of 1/8” wall and the brackets are around 3/16”. I’ll let the real experts indicate if that’s thick enough, but I won’t have any concern about these on greens, blues...
I commented in another post about these, but I put the Mopar Performance Rock Rails on today (OEM 82215606) and am really pleased. Took an hour to swap out the Overland stock rails, no fuss whatsoever. Comes with a zinc sub-coating and a bed liner/textured overspray for long term corrosion...
I put the Mopar Performance Rock Rails on today and couldn’t be happier. Took an hour to swap out the Overland stock rails, no fuss whatsoever. Comes with a zinc sub-coating and a bed liner overcoat for long term corrosion resistance.
Seems substantial enough to serve as heavy duty rock...
Went to Rausch Creek and did Crawler’s Ridge and Crawl Daddy with Kyle from Off-road Consulting...only a small tag on my back fender and some scuffs on the running boards to show for it. Kyle rocked it as my spotter, got me through some tough obstacles. Skid plates were definitely exercised...
I’ve liked the Teraflex disconnects just fine, they’re easy to use and it’s convenient having the posts up high to hold everything out of the way when disconnected. I especially appreciated that there was no modification required to the existing OEM brackets.
We have a twill Sunrider now and have no complaints about vibration or rattling when closed, or any other complaints either (e.g., no leaks). Maybe there is a bit more noise coming in than with my freedom panels with sound dampers, but even that isn’t significant.
My favorite way to go now...
Don’t know about today, but back in May I went ahead and went with the Teraflex version for the convenience of a bracket to hold everything up out of the way when disconnected
Thanks for the update, I've been on the LOD site daily and hadn't looked at Northridge. Are the steel slide plates also available? I didn't see that option on their site.
