I actually registered within a week of receiving the parts. I already made the claim. They claim form gives you an option of 50%, 75%, or 100%. I checked 75%. Even though I only have 30k since install of the steering assembly, I have made a few wheeling trips and I figured they wouldn't 100%...
Yes. That was part of the reason for my post. I wanted to see what was going on myself but I thought it would be interesting for everyone else to see.
I posted a video last week about excessive movement in the tie rod. I contacted Apex and they said the stabilizer was improperly mounted and...
Wait! That's actually a good idea. I don't know if they're XRF or not. Even though they're stamped Apex, they could be XRF with a Apex stamp. I need to look into that. So, I'm assuming the cavfab is XRF?
I was waiting on Apex to respond to my claim, but I think they're going to give me the...
That's why I had the Ram 1500 1000HDs. They're thicker than the regular 1000s so they ride a tad bit harsher with air, but no issues with splitting or anything. And those bags put in work! I now have airlift air springs.
Ok everyone, I fixed the tierod movement. The pass through bolt design mount for the steering stabilizer had the steering stabilizer at angled position and not parallel with the tie rod. I Used a Stabilizer mount from RPM steering which positioned the stabilizer horizontal and parallel with the...
Actually... I found the issue. I changed the bracket on the stabilizer from the through bolt to a separate bracket from RPM. Because the new bracket allowed the stabilizer to be configured a different way, once I installed it, the issue stopped.
I think it's because of the angle of the...
Your feelings are exactly how I feel. There is a slight movement in the track bar, but not enough to create an issue. I had to stare at it for about 30 seconds to see it. And hell, I'm still not sure if it's movement or it's my glasses.🤣
But my tie rod ends are shot! Thanks for your input!👍🏻
So what do ya'll think about this tie rod movement? Pay no attention to the Stabilizer movement. I already know about that. I have a new (different design) bracket on the way. I'm referring to the up and down movement of the track bar.
So, tell me how ya'll feel.
There's actually a square headlight kit for the JL/JT. I posted about it in a jeep page on FB a couple years ago and the actual designer of the kit chimed in. He seemed like a really cool person. I don't know if the kit has hit the market yet. But the pics that I posted years ago was from like...
Does Fox really require you to lift the seat for their box? Is it a front firing or top firing sub? I ask because I've built 3 different boxes. First for a single 10" sub, then two subs, and now I have three subs. All have the proper displacement and the box still fit with no issues.
I'm just...
I agree with Lost1wing for the troubleshooting. Spot on. I would like to also add that you check the CANBUS and physically check every connection. Not visually, physically.
I had an issue with the negative cable on my main battery once. Tight as tight can be and still having issues. I pulled on...
