I have a similar issue that will need to go to the dealer. Happened once towing, but also happens when climbing moderate hills at freeway speeds. At least 4 times now. Dash says Service Electric Stability, but the code is P00AF Turbocharger Boost Control. Very dangerous as it has happened twice...

Pulled this Taco off a rock. He was with 2-3 jeeps all with winches and high lifts - no one knew how to use their equipment to unstick him. They had us blocked. We were able to work our way around and winch him loose.

I park outside and live in the Valley - So Cal with pretty serious heat in the summer. This year we had an atypical amount of rain. Zero issues with water or debris. Been about a year that they have been cut open.

There are a bunch of postings where you can DIY those hood vents in under 30 mins for free. Very simple mod. Probably doesn't have much impact in the grand scheme of things.
