The only upgrades to the JTR are the 35s (General Grabber ATx), wheels to match the trailer, a JCR front bed MOLLE panel, and as of last week an ACE Upper Decker. I might add a 2" lift, but I'm going to test the limits of the stock suspension and 35s first.
I can't go larger than 35s as I...
Here is the new setup:
There is still quite a bit that I need/want to do to it, but it is going to be a mild overland build as far as the JTR is concerned.
We recently ran the China Wall trail near Tarryall CO. It was the first real trail that we ran with our JKUR many years ago, so I thought it would be a good first trail for the JTR. There is nothing hard about this trail, but it is a fun one to shake down a rig on. The only mods to the JTR...
Thanks. You guys should make a MOLLE panel that mates up to those holes and spans between the two RTT mounts. That would make it much easier to mount things like traction boards, shovels or axes.
Also, have you guys ever installed on a JT without a bedliner in it? I ask because my truck does...
@ACE Engineering , I might have missed it, but are the four holes drilled into the side of the RTT mounts in a diamond pattern drilled to match anything in particular, or are they just randomly spaced holes to look good and maybe lineup with something someone might want to mount?
Thanks. I can't find the 3073 in stock anywhere. Even etrailer.com is back ordered into June some time. I did find a thread on the JL site that the 3024 harness will work if you swap the blue and black wires. That harness I could find locally all over the place. I'm going to install it...
Did you end up using the 3014-P to install your BC? Was it just plug and play? I have a Tekonsha 90195 P3 Electronic Brake Controller that I want to move from my JK to the JT.
Also check out TrailDamage.com They have over 600 trails in CO and UT that they ran, reported on, have videos and GPS tracks for. I think it is like $12 a year, but it is very much worth it.
I misunderstood what you were saying. They both have the same ground to axle clearance as you pointed out. We were comparing different clearance specs. The Mojave has a better approach angle, breakover angle, and ground clearance. The Rubicon has a better departure angle. So that is 3-1-1...
Actually, it does have more ground clearance, 11.6" vs. 11.0". What clearance spec is more important is situational. As for ground clearance, larger tires is what is going to get you more ground clearance, not a bigger lift. So you would have more ground clearance on Mojave with 35s then you...
I think this is our collective problem, we always want to compare the Mojave to the Rubicon. They are designed for different users and as such, would get different mods done to them. The Mojave already has more clearance than the Rubicon and with fast desert running you want to keep your CG as...
Hey Jody, it looks like you are missing the Leather Trimmed seats for the Mojave. In the price guide PDF these show up in Step #4 before the paint colors. Thanks for keeping this up to date for all of us.
Thanks. They last way longer than stickers and if/when you ever decide you need to remove them, they come off much easier and cleaner. Cost would prohibit their use everywhere, but for locations you need to really stand up to the elements and physical beating, these can't be beat.
The designs themselves would not be an issue for my laser, I could only do them in two tones like images I showed at the top of this thread. Unless you were talking about signs, then those could be done in multiple colors.
